Exodus 1:19

The midwives answered Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth quickly and their babies are born before the midwife can get to them.”

And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.

The midwives answered Pharaoh, “The Hebrew women aren’t like the Egyptian women; they’re vigorous. Before the midwife can get there, they’ve already had the baby.” 20-21 God was pleased with the midwives. The people continued to increase in number—a very strong people. And because the midwives honored God, God gave them families of their own.

The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife [p]can get to them.”

فَأَجَابَتَاهُ: «إنَّ النِّسَاءَ الْعِبْرَانِيَّاتِ لَسْنَ كَالْمِصْرِيَّاتِ، فَإِنَّهُنَّ قَوِيَّاتٌ يَلِدْنَ قَبْلَ وُصُولِ الْقَابِلَةِ إِلَيْهِنَّ».

„Herre,” sagde de. „De hebræiske kvinder er ikke som de egyptiske. Les sages-femmes répondirent au pharaon : C’est que les femmes des Hébreux ne sont pas comme les Egyptiennes. Elles sont pleines de vie. Avant que la sage-femme arrive auprès d’elles, elles ont déjà mis leur enfant au monde.

‘Koning,’ antwoordden zij, ‘die Hebreeuwse vrouwen hebben zulke snelle bevallingen dat wij het niet kunnen bijhouden. Ze doen er niet zo lang over als de Egyptische vrouwen!’

”De hebreiska kvinnorna är inte som de egyptiska. De är starka och föder sina barn snabbt”, svarade de honom. ”Barnmorskan hinner aldrig fram i tid.”
