Esther 8:5

Then she said, “If it pleases the king and if I have found favor before him and the matter is proper in the king’s view and I am pleasing in his sight, let it be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, which he wrote [in order] to destroy the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces.

And said, If it please the king, and if I have favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces:

Then she said, “If it pleases the king and if I have found favor before him and the matter seems proper to the king and I am pleasing in his sight, let it be written to revoke the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the king’s provinces.

She said, “King Xerxes, I hope you will think what I’m asking is the right thing to do. I hope you are pleased with me. If you are, and if it pleases you, let an order be written. Let it take the place of the messages Haman wrote. Haman was the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite. He planned to kill the Jews. He wrote orders to destroy us in all your territories.

“If it pleases the king,” she said, “and if he regards me with favor and thinks it the right thing to do, and if he is pleased with me, let an order be written overruling the dispatches that Haman son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, devised and wrote to destroy the Jews in all the king’s provinces.

Esther said, “If it please the king, and if I have found favor with him, and if he thinks it is right, and if I am pleasing to him, let there be a decree that reverses the orders of Haman son of Hammedatha the Agagite, who ordered that Jews throughout all the king’s provinces should be destroyed.

وَقَالَتْ: «إِذَا طَابَ لِلْمَلِكِ وَحَظِيتُ بِرِضَاهُ، وَاسْتَصْوَبَ الْمَلِكُ الرَّأْيَ، وَرُقْتُ أَنَا فِي عَيْنَيْهِ، فَلْيُصْدِرِ الْمَلِكُ أَوَامِرَ تُلْغِي رَسَائِلَ تَدْبِيرَاتِ هَامَانَ بْنِ هَمَدَاثَا الأَجَاجِيِّ، الَّتِي بَعَثَ بِها لإِبَادَةِ الْيَهُودِ الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي كُلِّ أَقَالِيمِ الْمَلِكِ،

og sagde: „Hvis jeg har fundet nåde for kongens øjne, hvis det behager Dem at opfylde mit ønske, og hvis De synes, det er rigtigt at gøre det, beder jeg kongen om at tilbagekalde Hamans befaling om at udrydde jøderne i riget.

und sagte: »Wenn mir der König seine Gunst erweisen möchte und er meine Bitte für gut hält, dann möge er ein Schreiben aufsetzen und den Erlass widerrufen, den der Agagiter Haman, der Sohn von Hammedata, verfasst hat, um die Juden in allen Provinzen des Reiches zu vernichten.

こう願い出ました。「もしこれがお心にかない、私をあわれとおぼし召されますなら、どうぞ勅令を出して、諸州のユダヤ人を殺せというハマンの指令を取り消してください。

“만일 황제 폐하께서 좋게 여기시고 또 저를 사랑하신다면 칙령을 내려 아각 사람 함므다다의 아들 하만이 황제의 제국 안에 있는 모든 유다 사람을 전멸시키려고 쓴 조서를 취소시켜 주십시오.

พระนางทูลว่า “หากเป็นที่พอพระทัยของฝ่าพระบาท และหากฝ่าพระบาททรงโปรดปรานหม่อมฉัน และทรงเห็นควรที่จะกระทำสิ่งนี้ และถ้าฝ่าพระบาทพอพระทัยหม่อมฉัน ขอให้มีพระราชสาส์นออกไปล้มล้างคำสั่งของฮามานบุตรฮัมเมดาธาชาวอากัก ที่วางแผนทำลายชาวยิวในทุกมณฑลของฝ่าพระบาท
