Esther 4:11

“All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that for any man or woman who comes to the king to the inner court without being summoned, he has but one law, that he is to be put to death, unless the king holds out to him the golden scepter so that he may live. And as for me, I have not been summoned to come to the king for these [last] thirty days.”

All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.

It applies to any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner courtyard without being sent for. It says they must be put to death. But there is a way out. Suppose the king reaches out his gold scepter toward them. Then their lives will be spared. But 30 days have gone by since the king sent for me.”

«إِنَّ كُلَّ حَاشِيَةِ الْمَلِكِ وَشُعُوبِ أَقَالِيمِ الْمَلِكِ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ كُلَّ رَجُلٍ أَوِ امْرَأَةٍ يَدْخُلُ إِلَى الْمَلِكِ فِي مُخْدَعِهِ الدَّاخِلِيِّ، مِنْ غَيْرِ دَعْوَةٍ، فَجَزَاؤُهُ حَتْماً الْمَوْتُ، إِلّا الَّذِي يَمُدُّ لَهُ الْمَلِكُ قَضِيبَ الذَّهَبِ فَإِنَّهُ يَحْيَا. وَأَنَا لَمْ أُدْعَ لِلْمُثُولِ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْمَلِكِ هَذِهِ الثَّلاثِينَ يَوْماً».

„Hvordan skulle jeg kunne gå i forbøn hos kongen? Alle og enhver ved, at hvis nogen vover sig ind på kongens private område uden at være tilkaldt, er de dødsens, medmindre kongen rækker sit guldscepter frem og benåder dem. Og det er nu over en måned siden, at jeg sidst blev kaldt ind til kongen!” 12-13 Efter at Mordokaj havde fået den besked, bad han Hatak overbringe Ester følgende svar: „Du skal ikke tro, at du undslipper, bare fordi du er i kongens hus! Du kommer til at dele skæbne med dine landsmænd.

Tous les serviteurs de l’empereur ainsi que les habitants de toutes les provinces de l’empire savent bien qu’il y a une loi, qui est la même pour tous, en vertu de laquelle tout homme ou toute femme qui pénétrerait dans la cour intérieure du palais pour se rendre auprès de l’empereur sans avoir été convoqué par lui, sera mis à mort, sauf si l’empereur lui tend son sceptre d’or. Alors seulement sa vie lui sera épargnée. Quant à moi, voilà trente jours que je n’ai plus été invitée à me rendre chez l’empereur.

“황제의 신하들과 백성들이 다 아는 일이지만 남자든 여자든 부르지도 않았는데 안뜰에 들어가서 황제에게 나아가면 누구든지 죽음을 당하도록 되어 있습니다. 단 한 가지 예외는 황제가 금홀을 내밀었을 때 그 사람이 사는 경우입니다만 황제가 나를 부르지 않은 지가 30일이나 되었습니다.”

„Toţi slujitorii împăratului şi fiecare popor din provinciile împăratului ştiu că orice bărbat sau orice femeie care intră la împărat, în curtea interioară, fără să fie chemat, este dat morţii prin lege. Doar dacă împăratul îi întinde sceptrul de aur, scapă cu viaţă. Nici eu nu am mai fost chemată să merg la împărat de treizeci de zile!“

“王的所有臣仆和各省人民都知道有一条法令，不论男女，未蒙宣召擅入内院去见王的必被处死，除非王向他伸出金杖，他才能活命。现在我已有三十天未蒙王召见了。”

「 王 的 一 切 臣 仆 和 各 省 的 人 民 都 知 道 有 一 个 定 例 ： 若 不 蒙 召 ， 擅 入 内 院 见 王 的 ， 无 论 男 女 必 被 治 死 ； 除 非 王 向 他 伸 出 金 杖 ， 不 得 存 活 。 现 在 我 没 有 蒙 召 进 去 见 王 已 经 三 十 日 了 。 」
