Ecclesiastes 9:16

But I say that wisdom is better than strength, though the poor man’s wisdom is despised and his words are not heeded.

Then said I, Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.

All the same, I still say that wisdom is better than muscle, even though the wise poor man was treated with contempt and soon forgotten.

So I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” But the wisdom of the poor man is despised and his words are not heeded.

So I said, “It’s better to be wise than to be powerful.” But people look down on the poor man’s wisdom. No one pays any attention to what he says.

So I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.

So I said, ‘Wisdom is better than strength.’ But the poor man’s wisdom is despised, and his words are no longer heeded.

So even though wisdom is better than strength, those who are wise will be despised if they are poor. What they say will not be appreciated for long.

فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّ الْحِكْمَةَ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقُوَّةِ. غَيْرَ أَنَّ حِكْمَةَ الْمِسْكِينِ مُحْتَقَرَةٌ وَكَلامَهُ غَيْرُ مَسْمُوعٍ.

Da indså jeg, at visdom er vigtigere end magt, men hvis den vise samtidig er fattig, ser man gerne ned på ham, og hans råd bliver sjældent værdsat.

Da sagte ich mir: Zwar ist Weisheit wertvoller als Stärke, aber auf den Rat eines Armen sieht man bloß hinab; seine Worte beachtet man nicht.

このことで、知恵は力以上のものだが、その人が貧しければさげすまれ、彼が何を言っても聞かないことがよくわかりました。

그래서 나는 지혜가 힘보다 낫지만 지혜로운 사람이 가난하면 무시를 당하고 그가 하는 말을 인정해 주는 자가 없음을 알게 되었다.

Toen besefte ik dat men de arme wijze veracht en niet naar hem luistert, ook al is wijsheid beter dan kracht.

Por isso pensei: Embora a sabedoria seja melhor do que a força, a sabedoria do pobre é desprezada, e logo suas palavras são esquecidas.

Då sa jag: ”Vishet är bättre än styrka.” Men den fattiges vishet blir föraktad, och ingen fäster sig vid vad han säger.

ข้าพเจ้าจึงกล่าวว่า “สติปัญญาดีกว่าพละกำลัง” แต่สติปัญญาของชายยากจนก็ถูกดูหมิ่น และถ้อยคำของเขาก็ไม่มีใครรับฟัง

我认为智慧胜过武力，然而那位穷人的智慧却被轻视，他所说的话也无人理会。
