Ecclesiastes 6:9

What the eyes see [enjoying what is available] is better than [craving] what the soul desires. This too is futility and chasing after the wind.

Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.

Being satisfied with what you have is better than always wanting more.That doesn’t have any meaning either. It’s like chasing the wind.

إِنَّ مَا تَرَاهُ الْعَيْنُ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا تَشْتَهِيهِ النَّفْسُ. وَهَذَا أَيْضاً بَاطِلٌ كَمُلاحَقَةِ الرِّيحِ.

Det er bedre at glæde sig over, hvad man rent faktisk har, end at fantasere om, hvad man ikke kan få, for det er lige så meningsløst som at prøve at fange vinden.

Sei zufrieden mit dem, was du hast, und verlange nicht ständig nach mehr, denn das ist vergebliche Mühe – so als wolltest du den Wind einfangen. Gegen Gott kommt niemand an!

Vad ögonen ser är bättre än det man trånar efter. Även detta är meningslöst och ett jagande efter vind.

มีเท่าที่ตาเห็นก็ดีกว่าเที่ยวอยากได้ไปเรื่อยนี่ก็อนิจจัง วิ่งไล่ตามลม

满足于眼前所有的，胜过心中贪想的。这也是虚空，如同捕风。
