Ecclesiastes 5:2

Do not be hasty with your mouth [speaking careless words or vows] or impulsive in thought to bring up a matter before God. For God is in heaven and you are on earth; therefore let your words be few.

Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

Don’t shoot off your mouth, or speak before you think.Don’t be too quick to tell God what you think he wants to hear.God’s in charge, not you—the less you speak, the better.

لَا تَتَسَرَّعْ فِي أَقْوَالِ فَمِكَ، وَلا يَتَهَوَّرْ قَلْبُكَ فِي نُطْقِ كَلامِ لَغْوٍ أَمَامَ اللهِ، فَاللهُ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَأَنْتَ عَلَى الأَرْضِ، فَلْتَكُنْ كَلِمَاتُكَ قَلِيلَةً.

Har man for mange bekymringer, kan man få mareridt. Bruger man for mange ord, kan man komme til at fortale sig.

Man sagt doch: »Wer zu geschäftig ist, träumt bald unruhig, und wer zu viel redet, sagt leicht etwas Dummes.«

너는 함부로 입을 열지 말고 하나님께 경솔한 약속을 하지 말아라. 그는 하늘에 계시고 너는 땅에 있으니 될 수 있는 대로 말을 적게 하여라.
