Ecclesiastes 5:1

Guard your steps and focus on what you are doing as you go to the house of God and draw near to listen rather than to offer the [careless or irreverent] sacrifice of fools; for they are too ignorant to know they are doing evil.

Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.

Watch your step when you enter God’s house. Enter to learn. That’s far better than mindlessly offering a sacrifice, Doing more harm than good.

احْرِصْ أَنْ تَكُونَ قَدَمُكَ طَاهِرَةً عِنْدَمَا تَذْهَبُ إِلَى بَيْتِ الرَّبِّ، فَإِنَّ الدُّنُوَّ لِلاسْتِمَاعِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ تَقْرِيبِ ذَبِيحَةِ الْجُهَّالِ الَّذِينَ لَا يُدْرِكُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يَرْتَكِبُونَ شَراً.

Tænk, før du taler, så du ikke lover Gud noget, du ikke kan opfylde, for Gud er i Himlen, og du er på jorden. Pas derfor på ikke at love for meget.

Denk erst nach, bevor du betest, sei nicht zu voreilig! Denn Gott ist im Himmel, und du bist auf der Erde – also sei sparsam mit deinen Worten!

Ne te presse pas d’ouvrir la bouche et ne te laisse pas entraîner par ton cœur à formuler hâtivement une parole en présence de Dieu, car Dieu est au ciel, et toi tu es sur la terre. Que tes propos soient donc peu nombreux.

1-3 神殿に入るときは、耳をすまして、口は堅くつぐみなさい。神に軽はずみな約束をするのは罪です。それがわからないほど愚かになってはいけません。神は天におられ、私たちは地にいるのですから、ことば数はできるだけ少なくすべきです。仕事が多いと悪夢にうなされ、口数が多いと愚かになる。

하나님의 집에 들어갈 때 조심하라. 가까이 가서 말씀을 듣는 것이 자기 잘못 을 알지 못하는 어리석은 자가 제사를 드리는 것보다 낫다.

Denk eerst na voor u iets zegt en doe God geen overhaaste beloften. Want Hij is in de hemel en wij slechts hier op aarde. Zeg daarom alleen het hoognodige.

Quando entrares na casa de Deus, fá-lo numa atitude de reflexão! Entra com a intenção de escutar e não de oferecer sacrifícios, como fazem os insensatos, que nem sequer compreendem que fazem mal.

Ha inte för bråttom med att öppna munnen, och yttra dig inte förhastat om någonting inför Gud, för Gud är i himlen och du på jorden. Låt alltså dina ord vara få.

จงระมัดระวังแต่ละย่างก้าวเมื่อท่านไปยังพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า เข้าไปฟังใกล้ๆ ก็ดีกว่าถวายเครื่องบูชาแบบคนโง่ ซึ่งไม่รู้ว่าตัวเองทำผิด

你进入上帝的殿时要小心谨慎，近前倾听胜过愚人献祭，因为他们不知道自己是在作恶。
