Deuteronomy 9:5

It is not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart that you are going to possess their land, but because of the wickedness of these nations the Lord your God is driving them out before you, and to confirm the oath which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

It is not for your righteousness or for the uprightness of your heart that you are going to possess their land, but it is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord your God is driving them out before you, in order to confirm the [c]oath which the Lord swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

You are not going in to take over their land because you have done what is right or honest. It’s because those nations are so evil. That’s why the Lord your God will drive them out to make room for you. He will do what he said he would do. He made a promise to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

It is not because of your righteousness or your integrity that you are going in to take possession of their land; but on account of the wickedness of these nations, the Lord your God will drive them out before you, to accomplish what he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

It is not because you are so good or have such integrity that you are about to occupy their land. The Lord your God will drive these nations out ahead of you only because of their wickedness, and to fulfill the oath he swore to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

إِذْ لَيْسَ بِفَضْلِ صَلاحِكُمْ وَاسْتِقَامَتِكُمْ تَدْخُلُونَ لامْتِلاكِ أَرْضِهِمْ، إِنَّمَا مِنْ أَجْلِ إِثْمِهِمْ يَطْرُدُهُمُ الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ مِنْ أَمَامِكُمْ وَفَاءً بِوَعْدِهِ الَّذِي أَقْسَمَ عَلَيْهِ لِآبَائِكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ.

Nicht wegen eurer Vollkommenheit und Aufrichtigkeit kommt ihr hinein! Die Bewohner von Kanaan müssen euch weichen, weil sie gottlos sind und weil der Herr ihr Land euren Vorfahren Abraham, Isaak und Jakob mit einem Eid versprochen hat.

Ce n’est vraiment pas parce que tu es juste, ou que tu as la droiture dans le cœur, que tu vas entrer en possession de leur pays ; en vérité, c’est parce que ces peuples sont pervertis que l’Eternel ton Dieu va les déposséder en ta faveur. C’est aussi pour tenir la promesse que l’Eternel a faite avec serment à tes ancêtres Abraham, Isaac et Jacob.

Panag-iyahan ninyo ang ila duta indi tungod kay matarong kamo ukon maayo kamo nga mga tawo kundi tungod kay malaot sila, kag agod matuman sang Ginoo nga inyo Dios ang iya ginsumpa sa inyo mga katigulangan nga si Abraham, Isaac, kag Jacob.

決して、あなたがたがりっぱなので、ほかの国々を滅ぼすのではありません。先祖アブラハム、イサク、ヤコブに、そうすると約束されたのです。

여러분이 그 땅을 얻게 되는 것은 여러분이 의롭다거나 정직해서가 아닙니다. 그들이 악한 이유도 있지만 여호와께서는 여러분의 조상 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 하신 약속을 지키기 위해서 그들을 쫓아내실 것입니다.

Het is echt niet omdat u van die fijne, rechtvaardige en oprechte mensen bent dat de Here hen voor u het land uitjaagt! Ik herhaal: Hij doet dit alleen wegens de slechtheid van deze volken en wegens de belofte die Hij deed aan uw voorouders Abraham, Isaak en Jakob.

Não é por causa de sua justiça ou de sua retidão que você conquistará a terra delas. Mas é por causa da maldade destas nações que o Senhor, o seu Deus, as expulsará de diante de você, para cumprir a palavra que o Senhor prometeu, sob juramento, aos seus antepassados, Abraão, Isaque e Jacó.

Não foi porque fossem gente justa e honesta que o Senhor os expulsou na vossa frente. Repito, foi por causa da impiedade desses povos e também por causa daquilo que prometera aos vossos antepassados, Abraão, Isaque e Jacob.

Nu datorită dreptăţii sau onestităţii inimilor voastre veţi intra în stăpânirea teritoriilor lor, ci din cauza răutăţii acestor neamuri Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, le va izgoni dinaintea voastră, prin aceasta împlinind totodată şi jurământul făcut strămoşilor voştri, Avraam, Isaac şi Iacov.

Det är inte alls för din rättfärdighet eller rättsinnighet som Herren, din Gud, driver bort dem för dig. Nej, det är för att de är så onda och för att han vill uppfylla vad han med ed lovade dina förfäder, Abraham, Isak och Jakob.

你们能占领他们的土地并非因为你们公义、行为正直。你们的上帝耶和华从你们面前赶走那些民族，是因为他们邪恶，也是为了实现祂给你们祖先亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的誓言。

你 进 去 得 他 们 的 地 ， 并 不 是 因 你 的 义 ， 也 不 是 因 你 心 里 正 直 ， 乃 是 因 这 些 国 民 的 恶 ， 耶 和 华 ─ 你 的 神 将 他 们 从 你 面 前 赶 出 去 ， 又 因 耶 和 华 要 坚 定 他 向 你 列 祖 亚 伯 拉 罕 、 以 撒 、 雅 各 起 誓 所 应 许 的 话 。

你們能佔領他們的土地並非因為你們公義、行為正直。你們的上帝耶和華從你們面前趕走那些民族，是因為他們邪惡，也是為了實現祂給你們祖先亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的誓言。
