Deuteronomy 5:11

‘You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain [that is, irreverently, in false affirmations or in ways that impugn the character of God]; for the Lord will not hold guiltless nor leave unpunished the one who [d]takes His name in vain [disregarding its reverence and its power].

Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

No using the name of God, your God, in curses or silly banter; God won’t put up with the irreverent use of his name. 12-15 No working on the Sabbath; keep it holy just as God, your God, commanded you. Work six days, doing everything you have to do, but the seventh day is a Sabbath, a Rest Day—no work: not you, your son, your daughter, your servant, your maid, your ox, your donkey (or any of your animals), and not even the foreigner visiting your town. That way your servants and maids will get the same rest as you. Don’t ever forget that you were slaves in Egypt and God, your God, got you out of there in a powerful show of strength. That’s why God, your God, commands you to observe the day of Sabbath rest.

“Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will find guilty anyone who misuses his name.

“You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

‘You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

“You must not misuse the name of the Lord your God. The Lord will not let you go unpunished if you misuse his name.

لَا تَنْطِقْ بِاسْمِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكَ بَاطِلاً، لأَنَّ الرَّبَّ لَا يُبْرِئُ مَنْ يَنْطِقُ بِاسْمِهِ بَاطِلاً.

Du må ikke misbruge Herren, din Guds, navn. Jeg straffer den, der misbruger mit navn.

Du sollst meinen Namen nicht missbrauchen, denn ich bin der Herr, dein Gott! Ich lasse keinen ungestraft, der das tut!

“ ‘Indi ninyo paggamita ang akon ngalan sa wala sing pulos kay ako, ang Ginoo nga inyo Dios, magasilot sa kay bisan sin-o nga maggamit sang akon ngalan sa wala sing pulos.

実行するつもりもないのに、むやみにわたしの名を使って誓ってはならない。そのようなことをしたら必ず罰せられる。

‘너희는 너희 하나님 나 여호와의 이름을 함부로 사용하지 말아라. 나 여호와는 내 이름을 함부로 사용하는 자를 그냥 두지 않을 것이다.

Noem de naam van de Here, uw God, niet zonder dat dit nodig is. Degene die dat wel doet, zal Ik als schuldig beschouwen.

“อย่ายกพระนามของพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้ามาอ้างอย่างไม่สมควร เพราะองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจะทรงลงโทษผู้ที่อ้างพระนามของพระองค์เช่นนั้น

“‘不可妄用你上帝耶和华的名，违者必被耶和华定罪。

不 可 妄 称 耶 和 华 ─ 你 神 的 名 ； 因 为 妄 称 耶 和 华 名 的 ， 耶 和 华 必 不 以 他 为 无 罪 。
