Deuteronomy 4:9

“Only pay attention and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life. Make them known to your children and your grandchildren [impressing these things on their mind and penetrating their heart with these truths]—

Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;

Just make sure you stay alert. Keep close watch over yourselves. Don’t forget anything of what you’ve seen. Don’t let your heart wander off. Stay vigilant as long as you live. Teach what you’ve seen and heard to your children and grandchildren.

إِنَّمَا احْتَرِزُوا وَاحْذَرُوا لِئَلّا تَنْسَوْا الأُمُورَ الَّتِي شَهِدَتْهَا أَعْيُنُكُمْ فَلا تَنْمَحِي مِنْ قُلُوبِكُمْ كُلَّ أَيَّامِ حَيَاتِكُمْ. وَعَلِّمُوهَا لأَوْلادِكُمْ وَلأَحْفَادِكُمْ.

Seulement, veille attentivement sur toi-même, et garde-toi bien d’oublier les événements dont tu as été témoin ; qu’ils restent gravés dans ta mémoire pour tous les jours de ta vie et informes-en tes fils et tes petits-fils.

Numai ia seama la tine şi veghează cu luare-aminte asupra sufletului tău ca să nu uiţi lucrurile pe care le-ai văzut cu ochii tăi şi ca ele să nu se depărteze de inima ta în toate zilele vieţii tale. Fă cunoscute aceste lucruri copiilor tăi şi nepoţilor tăi.
