Deuteronomy 29:16

(for you know how we lived in the land of Egypt, and how we passed through the nations along the way;

(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;

(for you know how we lived in the land of Egypt, and how we came through the midst of the nations through which you passed;

You yourselves know how we lived in Egypt. You also know how we passed through other countries on the way here.

“You remember how we lived in the land of Egypt and how we traveled through the lands of enemy nations as we left.

لأَنَّكُمْ قَدْ عَرَفْتُمْ كَيْفَ أَقَمْنَا فِي دِيَارِ مِصْرَ، وَكَيْفَ جُزْنَا فِيمَا بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ الَّذِينَ عَبَرْتُمْ بِهِمْ،

og med jeres egne øjne så I deres afskyelige afgudsbilleder af træ, sten, sølv og guld.

Ihr habt die abscheulichen Götzen gesehen, die diese Menschen verehren, ihre Statuen aus Holz, Stein, Silber und Gold.

U herinnert zich dat wij in Egypte leefden en hoe wij daarna door de gebieden van andere volken kwamen:
