Deuteronomy 29:15

but with those [future Israelites] who are not here with us today, as well as with those who stand here with us today in the presence of the Lord our God

You are standing here with us today in front of the Lord our God. And I’m also making this covenant with those who aren’t here today.

بَلْ فَضْلاً عَنْكُمْ أَنْتُمُ الْمَاثِلِينَ الْيَوْمَ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا، فَإِنَّنِي أُبْرِمُهُ أَيْضاً مَعَ الأَجْيَالِ الْقَادِمَةِ.

I husker, hvordan det var at bo i Egypten, og I husker, hvordan vi passerede gennem andre folkeslags territorier,

»Ihr wisst, wie wir in Ägypten gelebt haben, und erinnert euch auch an die Völker, denen wir auf dem Weg hierher begegnet sind.

Jag ingår detta förbund både med er som står här inför Herren, vår Gud, idag och med dem som ännu inte finns här.
