Deuteronomy 29:14

“It is not with you alone that I am making this covenant and this oath,

Neither with you only do I make this covenant and this oath;

“Now not with you alone am I making this covenant and this oath,

I’m making this covenant and the promise that goes along with it. I’m making this covenant with you.

“But you are not the only ones with whom I am making this covenant with its curses.

وَلَسْتٌ أَقْطَعُ هَذَا الْعَهْدَ وَهَذَا الْقَسَمَ مَعَكُمْ وَحْدَكُمْ،

sondern auch mit euren Nachkommen, die noch nicht geboren sind. Sie gehören genauso zu ihm wie wir, die wir heute vor ihm stehen.« Gott bestraft den Götzendienst
