Deuteronomy 25:9

then his brother’s widow shall approach him in the presence of the elders, and pull his sandal off his foot and spit in his face; and she shall answer and say, ‘So it is done to that man who does not build up his brother’s household.’

Then shall his brother's wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother's house.

Then his brother’s widow will go up to him in front of the elders. She’ll pull one of his sandals off his foot. She’ll spit in his face. And she’ll say, “That’s what we do to a man who won’t build up his brother’s family line.”

تَتَقَدَّمُ امْرَأَةُ أَخِيهِ إِلَيْهِ عَلَى مَرْأَى مِنَ الشُّيُوخِ، وَتَخْلَعُ حِذَاءَهُ مِنْ رِجْلَيْهِ وَتَتْفُلُ فِي وَجْهِهِ قَائِلَةً: هَذَا مَا يَحْدُثُ لِمَنْ يَأْبَى أَنْ يَبْنِيَ بَيْتَ أَخِيهِ.

skal hans svigerinde for øjnene af byrådet gå hen til ham, trække hans sandal af og spytte ham i ansigtet med ordene: ‚Sådan går det den, der nægter at skaffe sin bror efterkommere!’

長老の見ている前でその男に近寄り、くつを脱がせ、顔につばを吐いて言ってやりなさい。『兄弟の家を立てないような男は、こうされるのよ。』

ska svägerskan gå fram till honom i de äldstes närvaro, dra av honom en sandal och spotta honom i ansiktet. Sedan ska hon säga: ”Så går det för den man som vägrar att låta sin brors släkt leva vidare.”

หญิงม่ายจะเดินเข้าไปหาชายคนนั้นต่อหน้าบรรดาผู้อาวุโส ถอดรองเท้าของเขาออกมาข้างหนึ่ง ถ่มน้ำลายรดหน้าเขาและกล่าวว่า “นี่แหละผลที่จะเกิดกับคนที่ไม่ยอมสืบสายตระกูลให้พี่น้องของเขา”

那寡妇要当着众长老的面，上前脱下他的鞋，吐唾沫在他脸上，说，‘这就是不肯为兄弟留后之人的下场。’

那寡婦要當著眾長老的面，上前脫下他的鞋，吐唾沫在他臉上，說，『這就是不肯為兄弟留後之人的下場。』
