Deuteronomy 23:7

“You shall not detest an Edomite, for he is your brother [Esau’s descendant]. You shall not detest an Egyptian, because you were a stranger (resident alien, foreigner) in his land.

Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.

But don’t spurn an Edomite; he’s your kin.And don’t spurn an Egyptian; you were a foreigner in his land.

“You shall not detest an Edomite, for he is your brother; you shall not detest an Egyptian, because you were an alien in his land.

Don’t hate the people of Edom. They are your relatives. Don’t hate the people of Egypt. After all, you lived as outsiders in their country.

Do not despise an Edomite, for the Edomites are related to you. Do not despise an Egyptian, because you resided as foreigners in their country.

“Do not detest the Edomites or the Egyptians, because the Edomites are your relatives and you lived as foreigners among the Egyptians.

لَا تَمْقُتُوا الأَدُومِيِّينَ لأَنَّهُمْ إِخْوَتُكُمْ، وَلا تَكْرَهُوا الْمِصْرِيِّينَ لأَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ ضُيُوفاً فِي دِيَارِهِمْ

Derfor må I aldrig fremover hjælpe ammonitterne eller moabitterne på nogen måde.

Darum verbündet euch nicht mit diesen Völkern und setzt euch auch in Zukunft nie für sie ein!

Maar kijk niet neer op de Edomieten en de Egyptenaren, de Edomieten zijn immers uw broeders en u hebt lange tijd onder de Egyptenaren geleefd.

“Não rejeitem o edomita, pois ele é seu irmão. Também não rejeitem o egípcio, pois vocês viveram como estrangeiros na terra deles.

Du får inte se ner på edoméerna, för de är dina bröder och inte heller på egypterna, eftersom du bodde som främling i deras land.

อย่ารังเกียจคนเอโดมเพราะเขาเป็นพี่น้องของท่าน และอย่ารังเกียจคนอียิปต์เพราะท่านเคยเป็นคนต่างด้าวในประเทศของเขา

“不可憎恶以东人，因为他们是你们的弟兄；也不可憎恶埃及人，因为你们曾经在埃及寄居。
