Deuteronomy 17:19

And it shall be with him and he shall read it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear [and worship] the Lord his God [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], by carefully obeying (keeping foremost in his thoughts and actively doing) all the words of this law and these statutes,

He must always keep that copy with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the Lord his God by obeying all the terms of these instructions and decrees.

فَتَكُونَ مَعَهُ لِيُطَالِعَهَا كُلَّ أَيَّامِ حَيَاتِهِ لِيَتَعَلَّمَ أَنْ يَتَّقِيَ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَهُ وَيُطِيعَ جَمِيعَ كَلِمَاتِ هَذِهِ الشَّرِيعَةِ وَهَذِهِ الْفَرَائِضِ لِيَعْمَلَ بِها،

Er muss sie immer bei sich haben und täglich darin lesen, solange er lebt. So soll er lernen, Ehrfurcht vor dem Herrn, seinem Gott, zu haben und alle Ordnungen dieses Gesetzes genau zu befolgen.

Cette copie ne le quittera pas, il y lira tous les jours de sa vie afin qu’il apprenne à craindre l’Eternel son Dieu, en obéissant à toute cette Loi et en appliquant toutes ces ordonnances.
