Daniel 5:23

And you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven, and the vessels of His house have been brought before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see or hear or understand. But the God who holds in His hand your breath of life and your ways you have not honored and glorified [but have dishonored and defied].

But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

but you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand. But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and all your ways, you have not glorified.

You have taken your stand against the Lord of heaven. You had your servants bring cups from his temple to you. You and your nobles drank wine from them. So did your wives and concubines. You praised your gods. The statues of those gods are made out of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood or stone. They can’t see or hear or understand anything. But you didn’t honor God. He holds in his hand your very life and everything you do.

Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.

Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honour the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.

For you have proudly defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone—gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny!

بَلْ تَغَطْرَسْتَ عَلَى رَبِّ السَّمَاءِ، فَأَحْضَرُوا أَمَامَكَ آنِيَةَ هَيْكَلِهِ لِتَشْرَبَ بِها الْخَمْرَ، أَنْتَ وَنُبَلَاءُ دَوْلَتِكَ وَزَوْجَاتُكَ وَمَحْظِيَّاتُكَ، وَسَبَّحْتَ آلِهَةَ الْفِضَّةِ وَالذَّهَبِ وَالنُّحَاسِ وَالْحَدِيدِ وَالْخَشَبِ وَالْحَجَرِ الَّتِي لَا تُبْصِرُ وَلا تَسْمَعُ وَلا تُدْرِكُ، أَمَّا اللهُ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ رُوحُكَ وَلَهُ كُلُّ طُرُقِكَ، فَلَمْ تُمَجِّدْهُ.

Tværtimod har De vist foragt for ham! De beordrede, at man skulle hente sølv- og guldbægrene fra hans tempel, og sammen med Deres embedsmænd, koner og medhustruer drak De af dem og skålede for Deres afguder af guld og sølv, bronze og jern, træ og sten, afguder, som hverken kan høre eller se eller fatte noget som helst. Men den Gud, som har magten over Deres liv og fremtid, viste De ingen ære!

Du hast dich über den Herrn des Himmels gestellt und dir die heiligen Gefäße holen lassen, die aus seinem Tempel stammen. Dann hast du mit den führenden Männern, mit deinen Frauen und Nebenfrauen Wein daraus getrunken und Loblieder auf deine Götter angestimmt. Dabei können diese Götzen weder sehen noch hören; sie begreifen nichts, weil sie aus Silber und Gold, aus Bronze und Eisen, aus Holz und Stein gemacht sind. Aber den Gott, der dein ganzes Leben in seiner Hand hat und deine Schritte lenkt – ihn willst du nicht ehren!

Por el contrario, te has opuesto al Dios del cielo mandando traer de su templo las copas para que bebáis en ellas tú y tus nobles, vuestras esposas y concubinas. Te has deshecho en alabanzas a los dioses de oro, plata, hierro, madera y piedra, dioses que no pueden ver ni oír ni entender; en cambio, no has honrado al Dios en cuyas manos se hallan tu vida y tus acciones.

Por el contrario, se ha opuesto al Dios del cielo mandando traer de su templo las copas para que beban en ellas usted y sus nobles, sus esposas y concubinas. Usted se ha deshecho en alabanzas a los dioses de oro, plata, hierro, madera y piedra, dioses que no pueden ver ni oír ni entender; en cambio, no ha honrado al Dios en cuyas manos se hallan la vida y las acciones de Su Majestad.

Tu t’es élevé contre le Seigneur du ciel et tu t’es fait apporter les coupes de son temple, puis toi et tes hauts dignitaires, tes femmes et tes concubines[i], vous y avez bu du vin et tu as loué les dieux d’argent, d’or, de bronze, de fer, de bois et de pierre, des dieux qui ne voient rien, n’entendent rien et ne savent rien. Mais le Dieu qui tient ton souffle de vie dans sa main et de qui dépend toute ta destinée, tu ne l’as pas honoré.

それどころか、天の主に逆らい、主の神殿の杯をここに持って来させました。王も、高官たちも、王妃やそばめたちも、その杯でぶどう酒を飲み、金、銀、青銅、鉄、木、石でできた、見ることも聞くことも、悟ることもできない神々をほめたたえました。こうして、王にいのちの息を与え、王の人生を手中に握っている神をほめたたえなかったのです。 24-25 それで神は手の指を送り、この文字を書かせたのです。その文字は、『メネ』『メネ』『テケル』『パルシン』と読みます。

Ao contrário, te exaltaste acima do[b] Senhor dos céus. Mandaste trazer as taças do templo do Senhor para que nelas bebessem tu, os teus nobres, as tuas mulheres e as tuas concubinas. Mas não glorificaste o Deus que sustenta em suas mãos a tua vida e todos os teus caminhos.

Tu ofendeste o Senhor dos céus, quando trouxeste para cá essas taças do seu templo; tu, os teus ministros, as suas mulheres e concubinas beberam vinho por elas, enquanto davam louvores a deuses de ouro, prata, cobre, ferro, madeira e pedra, deuses que nem veem, nem ouvem, nem sabem coisa nenhuma. Não deste louvores ao Deus que te dá a própria vida e controla o teu destino! 24-25 Por isso, Deus mandou-te uns dedos que escreveram esta mensagem: mene, mene, tequel, parsin.

Ты славил богов из серебра и золота, из бронзы, железа, дерева и камня, которые не могут ни видеть, ни слышать, ни понимать. Но Всевышнего, в руках Которого твоя жизнь и все твои пути, ты не почтил.

Ты славил богов из серебра и золота, из бронзы, железа, дерева и камня, которые не могут ни видеть, ни слышать, ни понимать. Но Бога, в руках Которого твоя жизнь и все твои пути, ты не почтил.

Du har satt dig upp mot himlens Herre och hämtat till dig kärlen från hans tempel. Du och dina stormän, hustrur och bihustrur har druckit vin ur dem medan ni prisat era gudar av silver, guld, koppar, järn, trä och sten, gudar som varken ser eller hör eller fattar något. Men den Gud som har din livsande och hela din livsvandring i sin makt, honom har du inte ärat.

กลับยกองค์ลบหลู่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งฟ้าสวรรค์ ทรงให้นำภาชนะจากพระวิหารของพระเจ้ามาให้ฝ่าพระบาท ขุนนาง มเหสี และเหล่านางสนมใส่เหล้าองุ่นดื่ม ทรงยกย่องสรรเสริญเทพเจ้าที่ทำจากเงิน ทอง ทองสัมฤทธิ์ เหล็ก ไม้ และหิน ซึ่งมองอะไรไม่เห็น ฟังอะไรไม่ได้ยิน และไม่เข้าใจ ฝ่าพระบาทไม่ได้เทิดพระเกียรติพระเจ้าผู้กุมชีวิตและวิถีทางทั้งปวงของฝ่าพระบาทไว้ในพระหัตถ์

竟在天上的主面前自大，命人拿来祂殿里的器皿，供你和大臣、王后、妃嫔用来饮酒，并颂赞不能看、不能听、一无所知、用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所造的神明，却不尊崇赐你生命气息、掌管你一举一动的上帝。

竟 向 天 上 的 主 自 高 ， 使 人 将 他 殿 中 的 器 皿 拿 到 你 面 前 ， 你 和 大 臣 、 皇 后 、 妃 嫔 用 这 器 皿 饮 酒 。 你 又 赞 美 那 不 能 看 、 不 能 听 、 无 知 无 识 、 金 、 银 、 铜 、 铁 、 木 、 石 所 造 的 神 ， 却 没 有 将 荣 耀 归 与 那 手 中 有 你 气 息 ， 管 理 你 一 切 行 动 的 神 。
