Daniel 2:24

So Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon; he went and said this to him: “Do not execute the wise men of Babylon! Bring me before the king, and I will reveal to the king the interpretation [of his dream].”

Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him; Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation.

So Daniel went back to Arioch, who had been put in charge of the execution. He said, “Call off the execution! Take me to the king and I’ll interpret his dream.”

Therefore, Daniel went in to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon; he went and spoke to him as follows: “Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon! Take me [ad]into the king’s presence, and I will declare the interpretation to the king.”

Then Daniel went to Arioch. The king had appointed him to put the wise men of Babylon to death. Daniel said to him, “Don’t kill the wise men of Babylon. Take me to the king. I’ll tell him what his dream means.”

Then Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to execute the wise men of Babylon, and said to him, “Do not execute the wise men of Babylon. Take me to the king, and I will interpret his dream for him.”

ثُمَّ قَالَ دَانِيَالُ لأَرْيُوخَ الَّذِي كَلَّفَهُ الْمَلِكُ بِإِبَادَةِ حُكَمَاءِ بَابِلَ: «لا تَقْتُلْ حُكَمَاءَ بَابِلَ. أَدْخِلْنِي لِلْمُثُولِ أَمَامَ الْمَلِكِ فَأَكْشِفَ لَهُ عَنْ تَفْسِيرِ الْحُلْمِ».

Daniel gik derefter til Arjoch og sagde: „Slå ikke vismændene ihjel! Før mig til kongen, så vil jeg forklare ham, hvad drømmen betyder.”

Après cela, Daniel alla trouver Aryok, que le roi avait chargé de faire périr les sages de Babylone et il lui dit : Ne fais pas mourir les sages de Babylone. Introduis-moi en présence du roi et je lui révélerai l’interprétation de son rêve.

Daarna ging Daniël naar Arjoch, die van de koning de opdracht had gekregen de wijzen van Babel ter dood te brengen. Daniël zei: ‘Stel de wijzen niet terecht. Breng mij bij de koning, dan zal ik hem de uitleg van zijn droom geven.’

Sedan gick Daniel till Arjok, som fått befallningen av kungen att avrätta Babylons alla visa män, och sa till honom: ”Avrätta inte de visa i Babylon! För mig bara till kungen, så ska jag berätta för honom uttydningen.”
