Amos 2:9

“Yet it was I [not the false gods] who destroyed the Amorite before them,Though his height was like the height of the cedars,And he was as strong as the oaks;I even destroyed his fruit above and his root below.

Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

“Yet I destroyed the Amorites to make room in the land for my people.The Amorites were as tall as cedar trees. They were as strong as oak trees.But I cut off their fruit above the ground and their roots below it.

“Yet I destroyed the Amorites before them, though they were tall as the cedars and strong as the oaks.I destroyed their fruit above and their roots below.

“But as my people watched, I destroyed the Amorites,though they were as tall as cedars and as strong as oaks.I destroyed the fruit on their branches and dug out their roots.

مَعَ أَنِّي أَهْلَكْتُ مِنْ أَمَامِهِمِ الأَمُورِيِّينَ ذَوِي الْقَامَاتِ الطَّوِيلَةِ كَأَشْجَارِ الأَرْزِ، الأَقْوِيَاءَ كَأَشْجَارِ الْبَلُّوطِ، أَتْلَفْتُ أَثْمَارَهُمْ عَلَى أَغْصَانِهَا، وَجُذُورَ أَشْجَارِهِمْ مِنْ تَحْتِ الأَرْضِ.

Har I glemt, at jeg udryddede amoritterne foran jer? De var høje som cedre og stærke som ege.Jeg rev bladene af dem og skar rødderne over.

Pero ako, ang ginhimo ko para sa ila nga mga taga-Israel, ginpanglaglag ko ang mga Amornon, bisan pa ini nga mga tawo mataas nga daw kahoy nga sedro kag mabakod nga daw kahoy nga terebinto. Ginpanglaglag ko sila hasta nga wala sing may nabilin sa ila.

わたしが彼らにしてやったことを、よく考えてみよ。目の前のエモリ人をこの地から追い払ったのは、このわたしだ。彼らは杉のように背が高く、樫の木のように強かった。だが、わたしはその実を切り落とし、根を切った。

En denk dan eens aan alles wat Ik voor hen heb gedaan! Voor hen uitgaand, maakte Ik het land van de Amorieten voor hen vrij, terwijl de Amorieten toch boomlange kerels zijn en sterk als ossen! Ik beroofde hen van hun vruchten en sneed hun wortels door.

“Fui eu que destruí os amorreus diante deles,embora fossem altos como o cedro e fortes como o carvalho.Eu destruí os seus frutos em cima e as suas raízes embaixo.

Mesmo assim, pensem em tudo o que fiz por eles! Limpei a terra dos amorreus diante deles, esses amorreus tão fortes como carvalhos e tão altos como cedros! Destruí-lhes o fruto e cortei-lhes por baixo as raízes.

Jag förgjorde amoréerna för dem, som var ståtliga som cedrar och starka som ekar. Jag förgjorde dem från deras frukt upptill ända ner till rötterna där nere.

“เราได้ทำลายชาวอาโมไรต์ต่อหน้าเขาทั้งๆ ที่อาโมไรต์สูงตระหง่านเหมือนสนซีดาร์และแข็งแกร่งเหมือนต้นโอ๊กเราทำลายผลซึ่งอยู่ข้างบนและรากเหง้าซึ่งอยู่ข้างล่าง

“以色列人啊，我在你们面前消灭了亚摩利人。虽然他们像香柏树那样高大，如橡树那样强壮，但我灭尽了他们的果子，砍断了他们的根。
