And David had a craving and said, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

فَتَأَوَّهَ دَاوُدُ قَائِلاً: «مَنْ يَسْقِينِي مَاءً مِنْ بِئْرِ بَيْتِ لَحْمٍ الْقَائِمَةِ عِنْدَ بَوَّابَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ؟»

David var tørstig og sagde henkastet: „Det kunne være skønt med et krus vand fra brønden ved byporten hjemme i Betlehem!”

David sa längtansfullt: ”Ack, om någon kunde hämta lite vatten från källan vid porten till Betlehem!”
