2 Samuel 18:20

But Joab told him, “You are not the man to carry news [to King David] today, but you shall carry news another day. On this day you shall carry no news, because the king’s son is dead.”

And Joab said unto him, Thou shalt not bear tidings this day, but thou shalt bear tidings another day: but this day thou shalt bear no tidings, because the king's son is dead.

But Joab said to him, “You are not the man to carry news this day, but you shall carry news another day; however, you shall carry no news today because the king’s son is dead.”

“I don’t want you to take the news to the king today,” Joab told him. “You can do it some other time. But you must not do it today, because the king’s son is dead.”

“You are not the one to take the news today,” Joab told him. “You may take the news another time, but you must not do so today, because the king’s son is dead.”

“No,” Joab told him, “it wouldn’t be good news to the king that his son is dead. You can be my messenger another time, but not today.”

فَأَجَابَهُ يُوآبُ: «لا، لَسْتَ أَنْتَ الَّذِي تَحْمِلُ بِشَارَةً فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ، دَعْهَا لِفُرْصَةٍ أُخْرَى إذْ لَا بِشَارَةَ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ لأَنَّ الْمَيْتَ هُوَ ابْنُ الْمَلِكِ».

„Nej,” svarede Joab, „kongen vil ikke blive glad for at høre, at hans søn er død. Du kan få lov til at bringe bud en anden gang.”

Doch Joab wehrte ab: »Was du dem König melden musst, ist keine Freudenbotschaft für ihn, denn sein Sohn ist tot. Ein anderes Mal schicke ich dich gern als Boten zu ihm, aber heute nicht.«

Nagsiling si Joab, “Indi ikaw ang magbalita sa hari subong nga adlaw. Puwede ka makabalita sa iban nga adlaw pero indi subong, tungod kay napatay ang anak sang hari.”

요압이 “지금은 안 된다. 왕의 아들이 죽었다는것은왕에게도좋은소식이 못된다. 너는다른날에그소식을전 하여라” 하였다.

Maar Joab weigerde toestemming. ‘Het is geen goed nieuws voor de koning dat zijn zoon dood is,’ zei hij. ‘Een andere keer mag je mijn boodschapper zijn.’

“Não é você quem deve levar a notícia hoje”, disse-lhe Joabe. “Deixe isso para outra ocasião. Hoje não, porque o filho do rei morreu.”

“Não!”, respondeu-lhe Joabe. “Isso não seria uma boa notícia para ele dizer-lhe que o filho morreu. Poderás transmitir-lha mais tarde.”

但约押对他说：“你今天不要去报信，改天再报吧。你不要今天去，因为王的儿子死了。”

约 押 对 他 说 ： 你 今 日 不 可 去 报 信 ， 改 日 可 以 报 信 ； 因 为 今 日 王 的 儿 子 死 了 ， 所 以 你 不 可 去 报 信 。

但約押對他說：「你今天不要去報信，改天再報吧。你不要今天去，因為王的兒子死了。」
