2 Kings 2:19

Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Look, this city is in a pleasant place, as my lord [Elisha] sees; but the water is bad and the land [c]is barren.”

And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

One day the men of the city said to Elisha, “You can see for yourself, master, how well our city is located. But the water is polluted and nothing grows.”

Then the men of the city said to Elisha, “Behold now, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad and the land [h]is unfruitful.”

The people of Jericho said to Elisha, “Look. This town has a good location. You can see that for yourself. But the spring of water here is bad. So the land doesn’t produce anything.”

The people of the city said to Elisha, “Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive.”

One day the leaders of the town of Jericho visited Elisha. “We have a problem, my lord,” they told him. “This town is located in pleasant surroundings, as you can see. But the water is bad, and the land is unproductive.”

وَقَالَ رِجَالُ مَدِينَةِ أَرِيحَا لأَلِيشَعَ: «هُوَذَا الْمَدِينَةُ كَمَا تَرَى ذَاتُ مَوْقِعٍ جَيِّدٍ، أَمَّا الْمِيَاهُ فَرَدِيئَةٌ وَالأَرْضُ مُجْدِبَةٌ».

En dag kom Jerikos ledere til Elisa med et problem. „Vores by ligger på et godt sted, som du kan se,” sagde de. „Men der er noget galt med vandet. Det forårsager aborter her i området.”

Ang mga tawo sa banwa sang Jerico nagsiling kay Elisha, “Sir, nakita mo man nga maayo ang nahamtangan sang amon banwa. Pero indi maayo ang tubig, kag tungod sini ang mga tanom indi magtubo.”[c]

Nu talade stadens män till Elisha: ”Staden ligger vackert, som du kan se, herre, men vattnet är mycket dåligt, och det ger missväxt[a].”

耶利哥城的人对以利沙说：“我主，你看这城地势很好，只是水不好，地里长不出庄稼。”
