2 Chronicles 6:16

Now therefore, O Lord, the God of Israel, keep with Your servant David, my father, that which You promised him, saying, ‘You shall not fail to have a man to sit on the throne of Israel, provided your sons are careful to walk in My law as you, [David,] have walked before Me.’

Now therefore, O Lord God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

Now therefore, O Lord, the God of Israel, keep with Your servant David, my father, that which You have [h]promised him, saying, ‘[i]You shall not lack a man to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your sons take heed to their way, to walk in My law as you have walked before Me.’

“Lord, you are the God of Israel. Keep the promises you made to my father David. Do it for him. He was your servant. You said to him, ‘You will always have a son from your family line to sit on Israel’s throne. He will sit in front of the Most Holy Room, where my own throne is. That will be true only if your children after you are careful in everything they do. They must live the way my law tells them to. That is the way you have lived.’

“Now, Lord, the God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made to him when you said, ‘You shall never fail to have a successor to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants are careful in all they do to walk before me according to my law, as you have done.’

‘Now, Lord, the God of Israel, keep for your servant David my father the promises you made to him when you said, “You shall never fail to have a successor to sit before me on the throne of Israel, if only your descendants are careful in all they do to walk before me according to my law, as you have done.”

“And now, O Lord, God of Israel, carry out the additional promise you made to your servant David, my father. For you said to him, ‘If your descendants guard their behavior and faithfully follow my Law as you have done, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

وَالآنَ أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ أَوْفِ بِمَا وَعَدْتَ بِهِ عَبْدَكَ أبِي دَاوُدَ قَائِلاً: إِنْ حَذَا أَوْلادُكَ حَذْوَكَ، وَمَارَسُوا شَرِيعَتِي أَمَامِي، فَلَنْ يَخْلُوَ يَوْماً عَرْشُ إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ صُلْبِكَ يَجْلِسُ عَلَيْهِ.

Og nu, Herre, beder jeg dig opfylde resten af dit løfte til ham: At hvis hans efterkommere gør som ham og handler efter din vilje, skal der altid sidde en fra hans slægt på Israels trone.

Herr, du Gott Israels, ich bitte dich: Halte auch das andere Versprechen, das du meinem Vater David gegeben hast. Du sagtest zu ihm: ›Immer wird einer deiner Nachkommen König über Israel sein, solange sie sich nach meinen Geboten richten, wie du es getan hast.‹

»Y ahora, Señor, Dios de Israel, cumple también la promesa que le hiciste a tu siervo, mi padre David, cuando le dijiste: “Si tus hijos observan una buena conducta, viviendo de acuerdo con mi ley como tú lo has hecho, nunca te faltará un descendiente que ocupe el trono de Israel en mi presencia”.

»Y ahora, Señor, Dios de Israel, cumple también la promesa que le hiciste a tu siervo, mi padre David, cuando le dijiste: “Si tus hijos observan una buena conducta, viviendo de acuerdo con mi ley como tú lo has hecho, nunca te faltará un descendiente que ocupe el trono de Israel en mi presencia”.

A présent, Eternel, Dieu d’Israël, veuille aussi tenir l’autre promesse que tu lui as faite lorsque tu lui as dit : « Il y aura toujours l’un de tes descendants qui siégera sous mon regard sur le trône d’Israël, à condition qu’ils veillent sur leur conduite pour vivre selon ma Loi, comme tu as toi-même vécu selon ma volonté[c]. »

E agora, ó Senhor, Deus de Israel, cumpre igualmente o resto da promessa que lhe fizeste, que sempre haveria um herdeiro no trono de Israel, se os seus descendentes obedecessem à tua Lei, como ele fez.

以色列的上帝耶和华啊，你曾对你仆人——我父大卫说，‘若你的子孙像你一样谨慎行事，遵行我的律法，你的王朝就不会中断。’求你信守这应许。
