2 Chronicles 10:4

“Your father [King Solomon] made our yoke hard (heavy, difficult); so now lighten the hard service of your father and his heavy yoke which he put on us, and we will serve you.”

Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore ease thou somewhat the grievous servitude of thy father, and his heavy yoke that he put upon us, and we will serve thee.

«إِنَّ أَبَاكَ قَدْ أَثْقَلَ النِّيرَ عَلَيْنَا، فَخَفِّفْ أَنْتَ الآنَ مِنْ عِبْءِ عُبُودِيَّةِ أَبِيكَ وَثِقَلِ نِيرِهِ الَّذِي وَضَعَهُ عَلَيْنَا فَنَخْدُمَكَ».

„Din far lagde en masse skatter på os og krævede hårdt arbejde,” sagde de. „Hvis du er villig til at nedsætte kravene, vil vi gerne have dig som konge.”

“당신의 아버지는 우리를 혹사시키고 우리에게 무거운 짐을 지워 주었습니다. 이제 당신은 이 짐을 가볍게 하여 우리 생활을 편하게 해 주십시오. 그러면 우리가 당신을 왕으로 모시겠습니다.”

‘Uw vader was een strenge meester,’ zeiden zij. ‘Als u ons menswaardiger behandelt, willen wij u wel als koning hebben.’
