1 Samuel 8:5

and said to him, “Look, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint us a king to judge us [and rule over us] like all the other nations.”

وَقَالُوا لَهُ: «هَا أَنْتَ قَدْ شِخْتَ، وَلَمْ يَسْلُكِ ابْنَاكَ فِي طَرِيقِكَ، فَنَصِّبْ عَلَيْنَا مَلِكاً يَحْكُمُ عَلَيْنَا كَبَقِيَّةِ الشُّعُوبِ».

De sa: ”Du har blivit gammal och dina söner följer inte i dina fotspår. Ge oss en kung som kan styra oss, så som alla andra folk har!”
