1 Samuel 26:8

Then Abishai said to David, “God has given your enemy into your hand this day; now then, please let me strike him with the spear driving it to the ground with one stroke, and I will not strike him the second time.”

Then said Abishai to David, God hath delivered thine enemy into thine hand this day: now therefore let me smite him, I pray thee, with the spear even to the earth at once, and I will not smite him the second time.

Abishai said, “This is the moment! God has put your enemy in your grasp. Let me nail him to the ground with his spear. One hit will do it, believe me; I won’t need a second!”

Then Abishai said to David, “Today God has delivered your enemy into your hand; now therefore, please let me strike him with the spear [c]to the ground with one stroke, and I will not [d]strike him the second time.”

Abishai said to David, “Today God has handed your enemy over to you. So let me pin him to the ground. I can do it with one jab of the spear. I won’t even have to strike him twice.”

“God has surely handed your enemy over to you this time!” Abishai whispered to David. “Let me pin him to the ground with one thrust of the spear; I won’t need to strike twice!”

فَقَالَ أَبِيشَايُ لِدَاوُدَ: «لَقَدْ أَوْقَعَ اللهُ الْيَوْمَ عَدُوَّكَ فِي قَبْضَةِ يَدِكَ، فَدَعْنِي الآنَ أَطْعَنُهُ بِرُمْحِهِ إِلَى الأَرْضِ، فَأُجْهِزَ عَلَيْهِ بِضَرْبَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ».

„Denne gang er der ingen tvivl om, at Gud har udleveret din fjende til dig,” hviskede Abishaj til David. „Lad mig få lov at spidde ham til jorden med et eneste stød.”

”Gud har nu utlämnat din fiende åt dig”, sa Avishaj till David. ”Låt mig få spetsa fast honom vid marken med mitt spjut! Jag lär inte behöva mer än ett försök.”
