1 Samuel 16:18

One of the young men said, “Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a brave and competent man, a warrior, discerning (prudent, eloquent) in speech, and a handsome man; and the Lord is with him.”

Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.

One of the young men spoke up, “I know someone. I’ve seen him myself: the son of Jesse of Bethlehem, an excellent musician. He’s also courageous, of age, well-spoken, and good-looking. And God is with him.”

Then one of the young men said, “Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a mighty man of valor, a warrior, one prudent in speech, and a handsome man; and the Lord is with him.”

One of the servants said, “I’ve seen someone who knows how to play the harp. He is a son of Jesse from Bethlehem. He’s a brave man. He would make a good soldier. He’s a good speaker. He’s very handsome. And the Lord is with him.”

One of the servants answered, “I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.”

فَقَالَ وَاحِدٌ مِنَ الْغِلْمَانِ: «لَقَدْ شَاهَدْتُ ابْناً لِيَسَّى البَيْتَلَحْمِيِّ مَاهِراً فِي الْعَزْفِ وَهُوَ بَطَلٌ جَبَّارٌ وَرَجُلُ حَرْبٍ، فَصِيحُ اللِّسَانِ وَبَهِيُّ الطَّلْعَةِ وَالرَّبُّ مَعَهُ».

En af tjenerne sagde: „Jeg kender en ung mand i Betlehem, en søn af Isaj. Han er ikke bare dygtig til at spille, han er også en modig kriger. Han taler kloge ord, og ser godt ud. Herren er med ham!”
