1 Samuel 15:6

Saul said to the [a]Kenites, “Go, leave, go down from the Amalekites, so that I do not destroy you along with them; for you showed kindness to all the Israelites when they went up from Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

And Saul said unto the Kenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

Then Saul got word to the Kenites: “Get out of here while you can. Evacuate the city right now or you’ll get lumped in with the Amalekites. I’m warning you because you showed real kindness to the Israelites when they came up out of Egypt.”And they did. The Kenites evacuated the place. 7-9 Then Saul went after Amalek, from the canyon all the way to Shur near the Egyptian border. He captured Agag, king of Amalek, alive. Everyone else was killed under the terms of the holy ban. Saul and the army made an exception for Agag, and for the choice sheep and cattle. They didn’t include them under the terms of the holy ban. But all the rest, which nobody wanted anyway, they destroyed as decreed by the holy ban. 10-11 Then God spoke to Samuel: “I’m sorry I ever made Saul king. He’s turned his back on me. He refuses to do what I tell him.” 11-12 Samuel was angry when he heard this. He prayed his anger and disappointment all through the night. He got up early in the morning to confront Saul but was told, “Saul’s gone. He went to Carmel to set up a victory monument in his own honor, and then was headed for Gilgal.”By the time Samuel caught up with him, Saul had just finished an act of worship, having used Amalekite plunder for the burnt offerings sacrificed to God.

Saul said to the Kenites, “Go, depart, go down from among the Amalekites, so that I do not destroy you with them; for you showed kindness to all the sons of Israel when they came up from Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.

Then Saul said to the Kenites, “You were kind to all the Israelites when they came up out of Egypt. Get away from the Amalekites. Then I won’t have to destroy you along with them.” So the Kenites moved away from the Amalekites.

Then he said to the Kenites, “Go away, leave the Amalekites so that I do not destroy you along with them; for you showed kindness to all the Israelites when they came up out of Egypt.” So the Kenites moved away from the Amalekites.

Saul sent this warning to the Kenites: “Move away from where the Amalekites live, or you will die with them. For you showed kindness to all the people of Israel when they came up from Egypt.” So the Kenites packed up and left.

وَبَعَثَ شَاوُلُ إِلَى الْقَيْنِيِّينَ قَائِلاً: «انْسَحِبُوا مِنْ بَيْنِ الْعَمَالِقَةِ لِئَلّا أُهْلِكَكُمْ مَعَهُمْ، فَأَنْتُمْ قَدْ أَحْسَنْتُمْ إِلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عِنْدَ خُرُوجِهِمْ مِنْ مِصْرَ». فَانْسَحَبَ الْقَيْنِيُّونَ مِنْ وَسَطِ الْعَمَالِقَةِ.

Men Saul advarede kenitterne: „Flyt væk fra amalekitternes område, så vi ikke kommer til at slå jer ihjel sammen med dem. I var jo venlige mod israelitterne, dengang de kom fra Egypten.” Derfor flyttede kenitterne væk fra området.

Denn ihr Keniter seid damals den Israeliten freundlich begegnet und habt ihnen geholfen, als sie von Ägypten wegzogen und in der Wüste unterwegs waren.«Da verließen die Keniter schleunigst das Gebiet der Amalekiter.

Los quenitas se apartaron de los amalecitas, pues Saúl les dijo: «¡Idos de aquí! Salid y apartaos de los amalecitas. Vosotros fuisteis bondadosos con todos los israelitas cuando ellos salieron de Egipto. Así que no quiero destruiros a vosotros juntamente con ellos».

Los quenitas se apartaron de los amalecitas, pues Saúl les dijo: «¡Váyanse de aquí! Salgan y apártense de los amalecitas. Ustedes fueron bondadosos con todos los israelitas cuando ellos salieron de Egipto. Así que no quiero destruirlos a ustedes junto con ellos».

Puis il fit dire aux Qéniens : Partez, séparez-vous des Amalécites pour que je ne vous fasse pas subir le même sort qu’à eux, car vous avez été bons envers les Israélites quand ils venaient d’Egypte.Les Qéniens se retirèrent donc du milieu des Amalécites[d].

Saul stuurde een boodschap naar de Kenieten met de waarschuwing dat zij de Amalekieten moesten verlaten, als zij niet ook vernietigd wilden worden. ‘Want u was vriendelijk voor de Israëlieten toen zij uit het land Egypte kwamen,’ liet hij hun weten.
