1 Kings 3:9

So give Your servant an understanding mind and a hearing heart [with which] to judge Your people, so that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge and rule this great people of Yours?” God’s Answer

Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

“Here’s what I want: Give me a God-listening heart so I can lead your people well, discerning the difference between good and evil. For who on their own is capable of leading your glorious people?” 10-14 God, the Master, was delighted with Solomon’s response. And God said to him, “Because you have asked for this and haven’t grasped after a long life, or riches, or the doom of your enemies, but you have asked for the ability to lead and govern well, I’ll give you what you’ve asked for—I’m giving you a wise and mature heart. There’s never been one like you before; and there’ll be no one after. As a bonus, I’m giving you both the wealth and glory you didn’t ask for—there’s not a king anywhere who will come up to your mark. And if you stay on course, keeping your eye on the life-map and the God-signs as your father David did, I’ll also give you a long life.”

So give Your servant [d]an understanding heart to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this [e]great people of Yours?” God’s Answer

So give me a heart that understands. Then I can rule over your people. I can tell the difference between what is right and what is wrong. Who can possibly rule over this great nation of yours?”

فَهَبْ عَبْدَكَ قَلْباً فَهِيماً لأَقْضِيَ بَيْنَ شَعْبِكَ، وَأُمَيِّزَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ، لأَنَّهُ مَنْ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَحْكُمَ شَعْبَكَ الْعَظِيمَ هَذَا؟»

Giv mig derfor et lydhørt hjerte, så jeg kan lede dit folk, så jeg kan skelne mellem, hvad der er rigtigt og forkert. For hvem kan magte at regere over dit mægtige folk?”

Darum bitte ich dich: Gib mir ein Herz, das auf dich hört, damit ich dein Volk richtig führen und zwischen Recht und Unrecht unterscheiden kann. Denn wie könnte ich sonst ein so riesiges Volk gerecht regieren?«

Veuille donc donner à ton serviteur l’intelligence nécessaire pour administrer la justice pour ton peuple, afin qu’il sache discerner entre le bien et le mal ! Sans cela, qui pourrait administrer la justice pour ton peuple qui est si nombreux ?

Gani hatagi ako sang kaalam sa pagdumala sang imo katawhan kag sa paghibalo kon ano ang maayo kag ang malain. Kay sin-o bala ang makasarang sa pagdumala sining imo katawhan nga puwerte kadamo?”

그러므로 주의 백성들을 잘 다스리고 선과 악을 분별할 수 있는 지혜로운 마음을 나에게 주소서. 그렇지 않으면 내가 어떻게 이처럼 많은 주의 백성을 다스릴 수 있겠습니까?”

Geef mij een verstandig hart, zodat ik uw volk goed kan regeren en ik onderscheid kan maken tussen goed en kwaad. Want wie zou zonder die wijsheid zoʼn groot volk kunnen regeren?’

Dá, pois, ao teu servo um coração cheio de discernimento para governar o teu povo e capaz de distinguir entre o bem e o mal. Pois, quem pode governar este teu grande povo?”

Dá-me sabedoria para que possa conduzir bem o teu povo e saiba a diferença entre o que é justo e o que é errado. Pois quem seria capaz de governar uma tão grande nação como esta?”

Dă-i slujitorului Tău o minte cu discernământ ca să pot judeca[b] poporul Tău şi să pot deosebi între bine şi rău, căci cine este în stare să judece acest popor numeros al Tău?

Ge mig, din tjänare, nu ett lydigt hjärta och ett sådant förstånd att jag kan regera på rätt sätt över ditt folk och förstå skillnaden mellan rätt och orätt! För vem kan styra ditt folk som är så stort?”

ฉะนั้นขอทรงโปรดให้ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์มีความคิดฉลาดหลักแหลม เพื่อจะปกครองประชากรของพระองค์ และรู้จักแยกแยะผิดชอบชั่วดี เพราะใครเล่าจะสามารถปกครองชนชาติที่ยิ่งใหญ่ของพระองค์นี้ได้?”

求你赐我智慧治理你的子民，并能辨别是非；不然，我又怎能治理你这众多的子民呢？”

所 以 求 你 赐 我 智 慧 ， 可 以 判 断 你 的 民 ， 能 辨 别 是 非 。 不 然 ， 谁 能 判 断 这 众 多 的 民 呢 ？

求你賜我智慧治理你的子民，並能辨別是非；不然，我又怎能治理你這眾多的子民呢？」
