1 Kings 20:42

He said to the king, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because you have released from your hand the man [Ben-hadad] whom I had devoted to destruction, your life shall be required for his life, and your people for his people.’”

And he said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Because thou hast let go out of thy hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore thy life shall go for his life, and thy people for his people.

The man said to the king, “God’s word: Because you let a man go who was under sentence by God, it’s now your life for his, your people for his.”

He said to him, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Because you have let go out of your hand the man whom I had devoted to destruction, therefore your [z]life shall go for his [aa]life, and your people for his people.’”

He told the king, “The Lord says, ‘You have set a man free. But I had said he should be set apart to the Lord in a special way to be destroyed. So you must pay for his life with yours. You must pay for his people’s lives with the lives of your people.’ ”

He said to the king, “This is what the Lord says: ‘You have set free a man I had determined should die.[c] Therefore it is your life for his life, your people for his people.’”

The prophet said to him, “This is what the Lord says: Because you have spared the man I said must be destroyed,[d] now you must die in his place, and your people will die instead of his people.”

وَقَالَ لِلْمَلِكِ: «هَذَا مَا يَقُولُهُ الرَّبُّ: لأَنَّكَ أَبْقَيْتَ عَلَى حَيَاةِ رَجُلٍ قَضَيْتُ بِهَلاكِهِ، فَسَتَمُوتُ بَدَلاً مِنْهُ، وَيَهْلِكُ شَعْبُكَ بَدَلاً مِنْ شَعْبِهِ».

Derpå sagde profeten til kongen: „Hør, hvad Herren siger til dig: Fordi du skånede den mand, som jeg sagde skulle dø, skal du dø i hans sted—og dit folk skal gå til grunde i stedet for hans.”

他对王说：“耶和华说，‘你放走了我决定要毁灭的人，所以你的命要抵他的命，你百姓的命要抵他百姓的命。’”

他對王說：「耶和華說，『你放走了我決定要毀滅的人，所以你的命要抵他的命，你百姓的命要抵他百姓的命。』」
