1 Kings 20:18

And he said, “Whether they have come out for peace or for war, take them alive.”

And he said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive.

He said, “If they’ve come in peace, take them alive as hostages; if they’ve come to fight, the same—take them alive as hostages.” 19-20 The commandos poured out of the city with the full army behind them. They hit hard in hand-to-hand combat. The Arameans scattered from the field, with Israel hard on their heels. But Ben-Hadad king of Aram got away on horseback, along with his cavalry.

Then he said, “If they have come out for peace, take them alive; or if they have come out for war, take them alive.”

Ben-Hadad said, “They might be coming to make peace. If they are, take them alive. Or they might be coming to make war. If they are, take them alive.”

He said, “If they have come out for peace, take them alive; if they have come out for war, take them alive.”

He said, ‘If they have come out for peace, take them alive; if they have come out for war, take them alive.’

“Take them alive,” Ben-hadad commanded, “whether they have come for peace or for war.”

فَقَالَ: «اقْبِضُوا عَلَيْهِمْ أَحْيَاءَ، سَوَاءٌ كَانَ قُدُومُهُمْ لِلْهُدْنَةِ أَوْ لِلْحَرْبِ».

Han lod sig ikke forstyrre, men svarede: „Fang dem levende, hvad enten de kommer for at overgive sig eller for at slås.” 19-20 Så snart elitetropperne og den øvrige hær kom i kamp med Ben-Hadads folk, slog elitetropperne alle deres modstandere ihjel. Da flygtede den aramæiske hær i panik, og israelitterne forfulgte dem. Kong Ben-Hadad undslap til hest sammen med de øvrige ryttere,

Ben-Hadad befahl: »Nehmt sie auf jeden Fall lebend gefangen, ob sie in friedlicher Absicht kommen oder nicht!«

他 说 ： 他 们 若 为 讲 和 出 来 ， 要 活 捉 他 们 ； 若 为 打 仗 出 来 ， 也 要 活 捉 他 们 。
