Then Elijah took twelve stones in accordance with the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord had come, saying, “Israel shall be your name.”

ثُمَّ أَخَذَ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ حَجَراً حَسَبَ عَدَدِ أَسْبَاطِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، ذُرِّيَّةِ يَعْقُوبَ الَّذِي دَعَاهُ اللهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ

Han udvalgte sig 12 sten, der skulle symbolisere de 12 stammer, efterkommerne af Jakobs 12 sønner, ham, som Herren selv havde givet navnet Israel.[a]
