1 Kings 18:21

Elijah approached all the people and said, “How long will you [c]hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people [of Israel] did not answer him [so much as] a word.

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.

Elijah challenged the people: “How long are you going to sit on the fence? If God is the real God, follow him; if it’s Baal, follow him. Make up your minds!”Nobody said a word; nobody made a move. 22-24 Then Elijah said, “I’m the only prophet of God left in Israel; and there are 450 prophets of Baal. Let the Baal prophets bring up two oxen; let them pick one, butcher it, and lay it out on an altar on firewood—but don’t ignite it. I’ll take the other ox, cut it up, and lay it on the wood. But neither will I light the fire. Then you pray to your gods and I’ll pray to God. The god who answers with fire will prove to be, in fact, God.”All the people agreed: “A good plan—do it!”

Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you [i]hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people did not answer him a word.

Elijah went there and stood in front of the people. He said, “How long will it take you to make up your minds? If the Lord is the one and only God, worship him. But if Baal is the one and only God, worship him.”The people didn’t say anything.

Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.”But the people said nothing.

Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent.

فَخَاطَبَ إِيلِيَّا الشَّعْبَ: «حَتَّى مَتَى تَظَلُّونَ تَعْرُجُونَ بَيْنَ الْفِرْقَتَيْنِ؟ إِنْ كَانَ الرَّبُّ هُوَ اللهُ فَاتْبَعُوهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ الْبَعْلُ هُوَ اللهُ فَاتْبَعُوهُ». فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ الشَّعْبُ بِكَلِمَةٍ.

Elias stillede sig op foran hele forsamlingen og råbte: „Hvor længe vil I stå med et ben i hver lejr? Hvis I mener, at Herren er den sande Gud, så bring jeres ofre til ham, men mener I, det er Ba’al, så bring jeres ofre til ham.” Der var dødstille.

Als alle versammelt waren, trat Elia vor die Menge und rief: »Wie lange noch wollt ihr auf zwei Hochzeiten tanzen? Wenn der Herr der wahre Gott ist, dann gehorcht ihm allein! Ist es aber Baal, dann dient nur ihm!«Das Volk sagte kein Wort,

Alors Elie s’avança devant tout le peuple et s’écria : Combien de temps encore sauterez-vous des deux côtés ? Si l’Eternel est le vrai Dieu, suivez-le. Si c’est Baal, alors ralliez-vous à lui !Mais le peuple ne lui répondit pas un mot.

Nagpalapit si Elias sa mga tawo kag nagsiling, “Hasta san-o pa bala kamo magsunod sa duha ka pagtuluohan? Kon ang Ginoo amo ang Dios, sunda ninyo siya, pero kon si Baal amo ang Dios, sunda ninyo siya.” Pero wala magsabat ang mga tawo.

그때 엘리야가 백성들에게 말하였다. “당신들은 언제까지 마음을 정하지 못하고 망설이고 있을 작정이오? 만일 여호와가 하나님이면 여호와를 섬기고, 만일 바알이 하나님이면 바알을 섬기시오.” 그러나 백성들은 한마디도 대답하지 않았다.

Elia richtte toen het woord tot hen. ‘Hoe lang blijft u nog op twee gedachten hinken?’ vroeg hij het volk. ‘Als de Here uw God is, volg Hem dan. Maar als Baäl god is, moet u die volgen!’

Elias dirigiu-se ao povo e disse: “Até quando vocês vão oscilar para um lado e para o outro? Se o Senhor é Deus, sigam-no; mas, se Baal é Deus, sigam-no”.O povo, porém, nada respondeu.

Atunci Ilie s-a apropiat de tot poporul şi a zis:– Până când veţi mai şovăi[e] între două convingeri? Dacă Domnul este Dumnezeu, urmaţi-L pe El, iar dacă Baal este Dumnezeu, urmaţi-l pe acesta!Poporul nu i-a răspuns nimic.

Där stod Elia upp och talade till hela folket: ”Hur länge ska ni fortsätta att vingla mellan olika åsikter? Om Herren är Gud, följ då honom! Men om Baal är det, ska ni naturligtvis följa honom!” Men de gav honom inget svar.

เอลียาห์มาอยู่ต่อหน้าประชาชนและกล่าวว่า “พวกท่านจะเหยียบเรือสองแคมไปนานสักเท่าใด? หากพระยาห์เวห์ทรงเป็นพระเจ้า จงติดตามพระองค์ แต่หากบาอัลเป็นพระเจ้า ก็ไปติดตามเขาเถิด”แต่ประชาชนไม่พูดอะไร

以利亚走到众人面前说：“你们三心二意要到什么时候呢？如果耶和华是上帝，你们当跟从祂；如果巴力是上帝，你们就跟从他吧！”他们都默不作声。

以 利 亚 前 来 对 众 民 说 ： 你 们 心 持 两 意 要 到 几 时 呢 ？ 若 耶 和 华 是 神 ， 就 当 顺 从 耶 和 华 ； 若 巴 力 是 神 ， 就 当 顺 从 巴 力 。 众 民 一 言 不 答 。

以利亞走到眾人面前說：「你們三心二意要到什麼時候呢？如果耶和華是上帝，你們當跟從祂；如果巴力是上帝，你們就跟從他吧！」他們都默不作聲。
