1 Chronicles 5:11

The sons of Gad lived opposite them in the land of Bashan, as far as Salecah:

And the children of Gad dwelt over against them, in the land of Bashan unto Salcah:

Now the sons of Gad lived opposite them in the land of Bashan as far as Salecah.

The people of Gad lived next to the people of Reuben in Bashan. They spread out all the way to Salekah.

The Gadites lived next to them in Bashan, as far as Salekah:

Next to the Reubenites, the descendants of Gad lived in the land of Bashan as far east as Salecah.

وَأَقَامَتْ ذُرِّيَّةُ جَادٍ شِمَالِيَّ سِبْطِ رَأُوبَيْنَ فِي أَرْضِ بَاشَانَ الْمُمْتَدَّةِ شَرْقاً حَتَّى سَلْخَةَ.

Gads stamme bosatte sig nord for rubenitternes område, og Gads stammeområde strakte sig langt ind i Bashan og østpå helt til Salka.
