1 Chronicles 28:4

However, the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from all in my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be the leader; and in the house (tribe) of Judah he chose the house of my father; and among the sons of my father He was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

Howbeit the Lord God of Israel chose me before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:

Yet, the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from all the house of my father to be king over Israel forever. For He has chosen Judah to be a leader; and in the house of Judah, my father’s house, and among the sons of my father He took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel.

“But the Lord chose me. He is the God of Israel. He chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah to lead the tribes. From the tribe of Judah he chose my family. From my father’s sons he chose me. He was pleased to make me king over the whole nation of Israel.

“Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel forever. He chose Judah as leader, and from the tribe of Judah he chose my family, and from my father’s sons he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

‘Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, chose me from my whole family to be king over Israel for ever. He chose Judah as leader, and from the tribe of Judah he chose my family, and from my father’s sons he was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

“Yet the Lord, the God of Israel, has chosen me from among all my father’s family to be king over Israel forever. For he has chosen the tribe of Judah to rule, and from among the families of Judah he chose my father’s family. And from among my father’s sons the Lord was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

إِنَّ الرَّبَّ إِلَهَ إِسْرَائِيلَ قَدِ اصْطَفَانِي مِنْ كُلِّ بَيْتِ أَبِي لِيَجْعَلَنِي مَلِكاً عَلَى إِسْرَائِيلَ إِلَى الأَبَدِ، وَذَلِكَ لأَنَّهُ اخْتَارَ سِبْطَ يَهُوذَا لِلرِّئَاسَةِ، ثُمَّ اخْتَارَ بَيْتَ أَبِي مِنْ بَيْنِ بُيُوتِ يَهُوذَا، وَقَدْ سُرَّ أَنْ يَفْرِزَنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ أَبْنَاءِ أَبِي لِيُوَلِّيَنِي عَلَى مُلْكِ إِسْرَائِيلَ.

Ikke desto mindre har Herren, Israels Gud, udvalgt mig til at begynde et dynasti, der skal regere over Israel til evig tid. Først udvalgte han Judas stamme til at være den, kongerne skulle komme fra. Dernæst udvalgte han af Judas stamme min familie, og endelig behagede det ham at udvælge mig blandt min fars sønner til at være konge over Israel.

L’Eternel, le Dieu d’Israël m’a choisi dans ma famille pour être roi d’Israël et pour inaugurer une dynastie éternelle. En effet, c’est la tribu de Juda qu’il a choisie pour conduire les autres. Toch heeft de Eeuwige God van Israël mij uit de hele familie van mijn vader gekozen om een koningshuis te stichten dat voor altijd over Israël zal regeren.
