1 Chronicles 14:11

So Israel came up to Baal-perazim, and David defeated the Philistines there. Then David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like the breakthrough of waters.” Therefore they named that place [b]Baal-perazim.

So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.

So David and his men went up to Baal Perazim. There David won the battle over the Philistines. He said, “God has broken through against my enemies, just as water breaks through a dam.” That’s why the place was called Baal Perazim.

فَتَوَجَّهَ دَاوُدُ إِلَى بَعْلِ فَرَاصِيمَ وَهَزَمَهُمْ هُنَاكَ. وَقَالَ دَاوُدُ: «قَدِ اقْتَحَمَ الرَّبُّ أَعْدَائِي كَاقْتِحَامِ الْمِيَاهِ الْمُتَدَفِّقَةِ». لِذَلِكَ دُعِيَ اسْمُ ذَلِكَ الْمَكَانِ بَعْلَ فَرَاصِيمَ (وَمَعْنَاهُ: سَيِّدُ الاقْتِحَامِ).

Derefter rykkede David ud og besejrede dem. „Det var Gud, der gjorde det!” erklærede han. „Gud brød gennem fjendens slagrækker som en flodbølge!” Derfor kaldte han stedet for Ba’al-Peratzim.[a]

Nagsiling dayon si David, “Ginlaglag sang Dios ang akon mga kaaway nga daw sa ginsalakay sang mabaskog nga baha, kag gin-gamit niya ako sa paglaglag sa ila.” Amo ina kon ngaa gintawag ato nga lugar nga Baal Perazim.[c]

그래서 다윗은 바알 – 브라심으로 나가 거기서 그들을 격퇴하고 이렇게 외쳤다. “물을 쳐서 흩어 버리듯이 하나님이 내 손으로 내 대적을 쳐서 흩어 버리셨구나!” 그렇게 해서 그 곳 이름을 [a]‘바알 – 브라심’ 이라고 불렀다.
