Genesis 45

Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he cried out, “Have everyone leave my presence!” So there was no one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers.

โยเซฟไม่สามารถควบคุมตนเองต่อหน้าบรรดาคนที่ยืนอยู่ได้อีกต่อไป จึงร้องสั่งบริวารว่า “จงออกไปให้พ้นหน้าเราให้หมดทุกคน!” ดังนั้นจึงไม่มีผู้อื่นอยู่กับโยเซฟเมื่อเขาแสดงตัวกับพี่น้องของเขา

And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and Pharaoh’s household heard about it.

แล้วเขาก็ร้องไห้เสียงดังจนชาวอียิปต์ทั้งหลายได้ยิน และข่าวก็ไปถึงราชวังของฟาโรห์

Joseph said to his brothers, “I am Joseph! Is my father still living?” But his brothers were not able to answer him, because they were terrified at his presence.

โยเซฟบอกพวกพี่น้องว่า “เราคือโยเซฟ! พ่อของเรายังมีชีวิตอยู่หรือ?” แต่พวกพี่น้องก็พูดอะไรไม่ออก เพราะพวกเขาต่างตกใจกลัวที่ได้เผชิญหน้ากับโยเซฟ

Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come close to me.” When they had done so, he said, “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt!

แล้วโยเซฟจึงพูดกับพี่น้องของเขาว่า “เข้ามาใกล้ๆ เราเถิด” พวกเขาก็เดินเข้าไปใกล้ เขาพูดอีกว่า “เราคือโยเซฟพี่น้องของท่าน คนที่ท่านขายเข้ามาในอียิปต์

And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.

แต่บัดนี้อย่าเสียใจและอย่าโกรธตนเองที่ได้ขายเรามาที่นี่ เพราะว่าพระเจ้าทรงส่งเรามาล่วงหน้าพวกพี่เพื่อช่วยชีวิตคนทั้งหลาย

For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping.

การกันดารอาหารในแผ่นดินนี้เพิ่งเกิดขึ้นเพียงสองปี แล้วอีกห้าปีข้างหน้าก็จะเพาะปลูกหรือเก็บเกี่ยวไม่ได้

But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.^[a]

แต่พระเจ้าทรงส่งเรามาล่วงหน้าพวกพี่เพื่อปกป้องรักษาคนที่เหลือบนแผ่นดินโลกไว้ และทรงช่วยชีวิตพวกพี่ไว้ด้วยการช่วยกู้ยิ่งใหญ่^[a]

“So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.

“ฉะนั้นจึงไม่ใช่พวกพี่ที่ส่งเรามาที่นี่ แต่เป็นพระเจ้าเอง พระองค์ทรงโปรดให้เราเป็นเหมือนบิดาแก่ฟาโรห์ เป็นเจ้านายเหนือข้าราชสำนักทั้งสิ้นและเป็นผู้ปกครองอียิปต์ทั้งประเทศ

Now hurry back to my father and say to him, ‘This is what your son Joseph says: God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; don’t delay.

บัดนี้จงรีบกลับไปหาพ่อของเราเถิด และบอกพ่อว่า ‘โยเซฟลูกของพ่อกล่าวดังนี้ว่า พระเจ้าทรงกระทำให้เราเป็นเจ้านายเหนือดินแดนอียิปต์ เชิญลงมาหาเราเถิด อย่าชักช้าอยู่เลย

You shall live in the region of Goshen and be near me—you, your children and grandchildren, your flocks and herds, and all you have.

พ่อจะได้มาอยู่ในดินแดนโกเชน อยู่ใกล้ๆ เรา ทั้งตัวพ่อพร้อมลูกหลาน ฝูงสัตว์ และทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างที่ท่านมี

I will provide for you there, because five years of famine are still to come. Otherwise you and your household and all who belong to you will become destitute.’

เราจะดูแลจัดหาสิ่งต่างๆ ให้พ่อที่นั่น เพราะจะกันดารอาหารอีกห้าปี มิฉะนั้นแล้วทั้งตัวพ่อ ครัวเรือนของพ่อ และคนของพ่อทุกคนจะต้องอดอยากกันหมด’

“You can see for yourselves, and so can my brother Benjamin, that it is really I who am speaking to you.

“พี่ๆ ก็เห็นอยู่กับตา น้องเบนยามินก็เห็นว่าเป็นเราจริงๆ ที่กำลังพูดอยู่กับพวกท่าน

Tell my father about all the honor accorded me in Egypt and about everything you have seen. And bring my father down here quickly.”

จงเล่าให้พ่อของเราฟังว่า เรามียศถาบรรดาศักดิ์ที่ยิ่งใหญ่ในอียิปต์ และจงเล่าทุกอย่างตามที่เห็น แล้วพาพ่อมาที่นี่โดยเร็ว”

Then he threw his arms around his brother Benjamin and wept, and Benjamin embraced him, weeping.

แล้วโยเซฟก็สวมกอดเบนยามินน้องชายของเขาแล้วร้องไห้ เบนยามินก็กอดพี่แล้วร้องไห้

And he kissed all his brothers and wept over them. Afterward his brothers talked with him.

โยเซฟจูบพี่น้องทุกคนและร้องไห้ หลังจากนั้นพี่น้องของเขาก็พูดคุยกับโยเซฟ

When the news reached Pharaoh’s palace that Joseph’s brothers had come, Pharaoh and all his officials were pleased.

เมื่อข่าวแพร่ไปถึงพระราชวังของฟาโรห์ว่าพี่น้องของโยเซฟมา ฟาโรห์กับเหล่าข้าราชบริพารทั้งหมดก็พากันยินดี

Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Tell your brothers, ‘Do this: Load your animals and return to the land of Canaan,

ฟาโรห์รับสั่งกับโยเซฟว่า “จงไปบอกพี่น้องของเจ้าว่า ‘จงทำตามนี้คือ นำสัตว์บรรทุกสิ่งของกลับไปยังคานาอัน

and bring your father and your families back to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you can enjoy the fat of the land.’

รับตัวบิดาของเจ้ากับทุกคนในครอบครัวกลับมาหาเรา เราจะยกดินแดนที่ดีที่สุดในอียิปต์ให้พวกเจ้า และพวกเจ้าจะได้ชื่นชมกับผลิตผลอันอุดมสมบูรณ์ในแผ่นดินนี้’

“You are also directed to tell them, ‘Do this: Take some carts from Egypt for your children and your wives, and get your father and come.

“เจ้าจงบอกพวกเขาด้วยว่า ‘จงทำตามนี้คือ จงนำขบวนเกวียนจากอียิปต์ไปรับลูกหลานของพวกเจ้า บรรดาภรรยา และบิดาของเจ้ามาที่นี่

Never mind about your belongings, because the best of all Egypt will be yours.’”

อย่าห่วงพะวงถึงทรัพย์สมบัติของพวกเจ้าที่นั่นเลย เพราะพวกเจ้าจะได้รับสิ่งของชั้นเยี่ยมต่างๆ นานาที่มีอยู่ในอียิปต์’ ”

So the sons of Israel did this. Joseph gave them carts, as Pharaoh had commanded, and he also gave them provisions for their journey.

ดังนั้นบรรดาบุตรชายของอิสราเอลจึงทำตามนั้น โยเซฟจึงให้ขบวนเกวียนไปกับพวกเขาตามรับสั่งของฟาโรห์ และเขายังให้เสบียงไปกินตามทางด้วย

To each of them he gave new clothing, but to Benjamin he gave three hundred shekels^[b] of silver and five sets of clothes.

เขาให้เสื้อผ้าใหม่กับพี่น้องทุกคน ส่วนเบนยามินได้รับเงิน 300 เชเขล^[b]และเสื้อผ้าห้าชุด

And this is what he sent to his father: ten donkeys loaded with the best things of Egypt, and ten female donkeys loaded with grain and bread and other provisions for his journey.

และโยเซฟได้ส่งสิ่งของต่างๆ เหล่านี้ให้แก่บิดาของเขา คือลาสิบตัวบรรทุกสิ่งของชั้นเยี่ยมที่มีอยู่ในอียิปต์ และลาตัวเมียอีกสิบตัวบรรทุกข้าว ขนมปัง และเสบียงอื่นๆ ให้บิดาไว้กินตามทาง

Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, “Don’t quarrel on the way!”

โยเซฟจึงส่งพวกพี่น้องออกเดินทางไป และก่อนจากกันโยเซฟพูดกับพวกเขาว่า “อย่าทะเลาะกันระหว่างทาง!”

So they went up out of Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan.

ดังนั้นพวกเขาจึงเดินทางออกจากอียิปต์กลับไปหายาโคบผู้เป็นบิดาที่คานาอัน

They told him, “Joseph is still alive! In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt.” Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them.

พวกเขาบอกยาโคบว่า “โยเซฟยังมีชีวิตอยู่! จริงๆ แล้วเขาได้เป็นถึงผู้ปกครองอียิปต์ทั้งประเทศ” ยาโคบตะลึงงันและไม่เชื่อพวกเขา

But when they told him everything Joseph had said to them, and when he saw the carts Joseph had sent to carry him back, the spirit of their father Jacob revived.

And Israel said, “I’m convinced! My son Joseph is still alive. I will go and see him before I die.”
