Hosea 1

The word of the Lord that came to Hosea son of Beeri during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and during the reign of Jeroboam son of Jehoash^[a] king of Israel:

Hosea’s Wife and Children

When the Lord began to speak through Hosea, the Lord said to him, “Go, marry a promiscuous woman and have children with her, for like an adulterous wife this land is guilty of unfaithfulness to the Lord.”

na Yohane aka biribiara a ohui nyinaa. Eyi ne n’adansedi ne asɛm a efi Onyankopɔn nkyɛn ne nokware a Yesu Kristo daa no adi no.

So he married Gomer daughter of Diblaim, and she conceived and bore him a son.

Nhyira nka obiara a ɔbɛkan saa nhoma yi, na nhyira nka wɔn nso a wotie adiyisɛm no na wodi so sɛnea wɔakyerɛw wɔ saa nhoma yi mu no. Bere no abɛn sɛ eyinom nyinaa ba.

Then the Lord said to Hosea, “Call him Jezreel, because I will soon punish the house of Jehu for the massacre at Jezreel, and I will put an end to the kingdom of Israel.

In that day I will break Israel’s bow in the Valley of Jezreel.”

Gomer conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. Then the Lord said to Hosea, “Call her Lo-Ruhamah (which means “not loved”), for I will no longer show love to Israel, that I should at all forgive them.

Wayɛ yɛn asɔfodɔm a yɛsom ne Nyankopɔn ne n’agya. Wɔmfa anuonyam ne tumi mma Kristo daa daa! Amen.

Yet I will show love to Judah; and I will save them—not by bow, sword or battle, or by horses and horsemen, but I, the Lord their God, will save them.”

Ɔnam omununkum mu reba. Wɔn a wɔwɔɔ no peaw no ne obiara behu no. Asase so nnipa nyinaa besu no. Ɛbɛba mu saa. Amen.

After she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah, Gomer had another son.

Awurade Nyankopɔn Tumfoɔ no se, “Mene Alfa ne Omega a ɔwɔ hɔ mprempren na ɔwɔ hɔ dedaw na ɔrebɛba no.”

Then the Lord said, “Call him Lo-Ammi (which means “not my people”), for you are not my people, and I am not your God.^[b]

Mene mo nua Yohane, na me ne Yesu bom ne no hu amane wɔ náhenni ne ne boasetɔ mu. Esiane sɛ meka Onyankopɔn asɛm da nokware a Yesu daa no adi no nti, wotwaa me asu de me kɔɔ supɔw Patmo so.

“Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ they will be called ‘children of the living God.’

Awurade da no, Honhom no faa me na metee nne dennen bi a ɛte sɛ torobɛnto a ɛrebɔ wɔ m’akyi.

The people of Judah and the people of Israel will come together; they will appoint one leader and will come up out of the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.^[c]

Ɛkae se, “Kyerɛw biribiara a wuhu, na fa nhoma no kɔma saa asafo ahorow ason a ɛwɔ Efeso ne Smirna ne Pergamo ne Tiatira ne Sardi ne Filadelfia ne Laodikea no.”

Medan m’ani pɛe sɛ mihu nea ɔrekasa kyerɛ me no. Ɛhɔ na mihuu sikakɔkɔɔ nkaneadua ason.

Emu na na onipa bi a ɔte sɛ ɔbarima a ɔhyɛ batakari yuu a esi ne nan ase a sika abɔso kyekye ne koko gyinae.

Na ne tinhwi yɛ fitaa te sɛ asawafuturu anaasɛ sukyerɛmma, na n’ani dɛw sɛ ogya.

Ne nan ase hyerɛnee sɛ ayowa a wɔanan wɔ fononoo mu na afei wɔatwiw ho na ne nne woro so te sɛ nsuworo a ano yɛ den.

Na okita nsoromma ason wɔ ne nsa nifa mu na sekan anofanu a ɛyɛ nnam fi n’anom bae. Na n’anim hyerɛn te sɛ owigyinae awia.

Mihuu no no, mekɔhwee ne nan ase te sɛ owufo. Ɔde ne nsa nifa too me so kae se, “Nsuro! Mene Ɔkannifo ne Okyikafo.

Mene ɔteasefo no! Miwui, nanso mete ase daapem nyinaa. Mewɔ tumi wɔ owu ne asaman so.

Enti afei kyerɛw nneɛma a wuhu; nea wuhu no mprempren ne nea ɛbɛba akyiri yi no, kyerɛw.

Nsoromma ason a wuhu wɔ me nsa nifa mu ne sika akaneadua no nkyerɛase a ɛyɛ ahintasɛm no ni: Nsoromma ason no yɛ asafo ason no abɔfo, ɛnna akaneadua ason no nso yɛ asafo ason no.”
