Verse 1

Praise the Lord.^[a]

Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.

Славьте Вечного!

Пойте Вечному новую песнь,
воздайте Ему хвалу в собрании верных.

Verse 2

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
let the people of Zion be glad in their King.

Да радуется Исраил своему Создателю,
жители Сиона да возликуют о своём Царе.

Verse 3

Let them praise his name with dancing
and make music to him with timbrel and harp.

Да славят имя Его танцами,
на бубнах и арфах да играют Ему,

Verse 4

For the Lord takes delight in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory.

потому что Вечный благоволит к Своему народу
и возвеличивает смиренных, спасая их.

Verse 5

Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor
and sing for joy on their beds.

Да торжествуют верные Ему в славе
и поют на ложах своих.

Verse 6

May the praise of God be in their mouths
and a double-edged sword in their hands,

Да хвалят Аллаха своими устами,
и да будет острый меч в их руке,

Verse 7

to inflict vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples,

чтобы совершить мщение над народами,
наказание – над племенами,

Verse 8

to bind their kings with fetters,
their nobles with shackles of iron,

чтобы заковать их царей в цепи
и их вельмож – в железные оковы,

Verse 9

to carry out the sentence written against them—
this is the glory of all his faithful people.

Praise the Lord.

чтобы произвести над ними предначертанный суд.
Эта честь принадлежит всем верным Ему.
