Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

To God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,

От Петира, посланника Исы Масиха^[a], скитальцам, рассеянным в Понте, Галатии, Каппадокии, провинции Азия^[b] и Вифинии, избранным

who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood:

Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

Praise to God for a Living Hope

по предведению Небесного Отца, через освящение Духом, для повиновения Исе Масиху и окропления Его кровью.

Благодать вам и мир^[c] да преумножатся.

Благодарность Аллаху за живую надежду

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Хвала Богу и Отцу^[d] Повелителя нашего Исы Масиха! По Своей великой милости Он через воскресение Исы Масиха из мёртвых дал нам новую жизнь в живой надежде.

and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,

Он дал нам нетленное, неосквернённое и неувядаемое наследие. Оно хранится на небесах для вас,

who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

защищённых через веру силой Аллаха для спасения, которое готово явиться в конце времён.

In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.

Поэтому радуйтесь, даже если сейчас какое-то время вам и приходится страдать в различных испытаниях.

These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Ведь через такие страдания доказывается подлинность вашей веры, что ценнее золота (которое хоть и испытывается огнём, но всё равно не вечно), чтобы она принесла вам похвалу, славу и честь, когда явится Иса Масих.

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,

Вы не видели Его, но уже любите Его, и сейчас, не видя Его, вы верите в Него и радуетесь неописуемой и славной радостью,

for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

достигая цели вашей веры – спасения душ ваших.

Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care,

Этому спасению были посвящены поиски и исследования пророков, которые предсказывали ожидающую вас благодать.

trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow.

Они старались понять, на какое время и на Кого им указывал^[e] находившийся в них Дух Масиха, заранее свидетельствовавший о предназначенных Масиху страданиях и о последующей за ними славе.

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

Be Holy

Им было открыто, что они служили не для себя, а для вас, когда возвещали то, что ныне, в силе посланного с небес Святого Духа, проповедано вам теми, кто принёс Радостную Весть, то, во что даже ангелы жаждут заглянуть.

Призыв к святости

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.

Поэтому приготовьте свой ум к действию. Храните самообладание, полностью надейтесь на благодать, которая будет вам дана в день явления Исы Масиха.

As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.

Как послушные дети Всевышнего не позволяйте управлять собой желаниям, жившим в вас, когда вы ещё пребывали в неведении.

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;

Но будьте святы во всём, что бы вы ни делали, как свят Тот, Кто призвал вас,

for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”^[a]

так как написано: «Будьте святы, потому что Я свят».^[f]

Since you call on a Father who judges each person’s work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear.

Если вы называете Отцом Того, Кто справедливо судит каждого по делам, то, будучи странниками на этой земле, проводите вашу жизнь в почтительном страхе перед Ним.

For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors,

Ведь вы знаете, что не такими тленными вещами как серебро или золото вы были выкуплены от бессмысленной жизни, переданной вам по наследству предками,

but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

но драгоценной кровью Масиха, как чистого и непорочного ягнёнка.

He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake.

Он был предопределён ещё до создания мира, но ради вас был явлен в последние времена.

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

Через Него вы и верите в Аллаха, воскресившего Его из мёртвых и прославившего Его, чтобы вы имели веру и надежду на Аллаха.

Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.^[b]

Вы достаточно очистили ваши души послушанием истине, чтобы явить искреннюю взаимную любовь. Итак, глубоко любите друг друга, от чистого сердца.

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Вы были заново рождены не от тленного семени, а от нетленного, живого и вечнопребывающего слова Аллаха,

For,

Это и есть слово возвещаемой вам Радостной Вести.
