1 John 3

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Посмотрите, какую великую любовь дал нам Небесный Отец, чтобы мы были названы детьми Его! И мы действительно Его дети! Мир потому нас не знает, что не познал Его.

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,^[a] we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Дорогие, теперь мы дети Всевышнего, а какими будем, ещё неизвестно. Мы знаем только, что, когда Масих придёт,^[a] мы станем подобны Ему, потому что тогда увидим Его таким, каков Он есть.

All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

Каждый, кто имеет эту надежду на Него, очищает себя, чтобы стать чистым, как Он.

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.

Кто согрешает, тот творит беззаконие, потому что грех – это беззаконие.

But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.

Вы знаете, что Масих был явлен для того, чтобы забрать наши грехи. В Нём Самом греха нет.

No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

Кто живёт в Нём, тот не любит грешить, а кто грешит, тот, значит, не видел Его и не познал Его.

Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.

Дети, смотрите, чтобы никто не обманул вас. Кто поступает праведно, тот праведен, как и Он праведен.

The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

Кто любит грешить, тот от Иблиса, потому что Иблис грешит от начала. Но для того и был явлен (вечный) Сын Всевышнего, чтобы разрушить дела Иблиса.

No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God.

Всякий, кто был рождён от Всевышнего,^[b] не любит грех, потому что в нём заложено семя от Всевышнего. Он не может любить грех, потому что рождён от Всевышнего.

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.

Отличить детей Всевышнего от детей Иблиса можно так: кто не поступает праведно, тот не от Аллаха, так же как и не любящий своего брата.

For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.

Вот весть, которая была вам провозглашена ещё вначале: мы должны любить друг друга.

Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous.

Не будьте такими, как Каин^[c]. Он был от Иблиса и убил своего брата. А почему убил? Потому что его дела были злы, а дела его брата – праведны.

Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters,^[b] if the world hates you.

Не удивляйтесь, братья, если мир вас ненавидит.

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.

Мы знаем, что уже перешли от смерти к жизни, потому что любим братьев. Тот, кто не любит, – тот ещё во власти смерти.

Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

Всякий, кто ненавидит своего брата, тот человекоубийца, а вы знаете, что ни в каком человекоубийце не может быть вечной жизни.

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.

Любовь мы узнали в том, что Иса отдал за нас Свою жизнь. И мы тоже должны быть готовы отдать жизнь за братьев.

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?

Если человек, живущий в достатке, видит своего брата в нужде и не пожалеет его, то как в нём может быть любовь Аллаха?

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

Дети, давайте будем любить не только на словах, языком, но и на деле, истинной любовью.

This is how we know that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence:

И так мы узнаем, что мы от истины, и обретём уверенность перед Аллахом.

If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.

Ведь если наше сердце осуждает нас, то тем более Аллах, Который больше нашего сердца и знает всё.^[d]

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God

Дорогие, если сердце нас не осуждает, то мы можем со всей уверенностью приходить к Аллаху.

and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.

И о чём бы мы Его ни попросили, всё получаем от Него, потому что соблюдаем Его повеления и делаем то, что угодно Ему.

And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.

Его повеление заключается в том, чтобы мы верили в Его (вечного) Сына^[e] Ису Масиха и любили друг друга, как Он повелел нам.

The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

Тот, кто соблюдает Его повеления, – пребывает в Аллахе, и Аллах в нём. И то, что Он пребывает в нас, мы узнаем по Духу, Которого Он дал нам.
