Matthew 11

After Jesus had finished instructing his twelve disciples, he went on from there to teach and preach in the towns of Galilee.^[a]

Закончив давать наставления Своим двенадцати ученикам, Иса пошёл учить и проповедовать в городах Галилеи.

When John, who was in prison, heard about the deeds of the Messiah, he sent his disciples

Когда Яхия, находясь в темнице, услышал о том, что делает Масих, он послал своих учеников

to ask him, “Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else?”

спросить Его:

– Ты ли Тот, Кто должен прийти,^[a] или нам ожидать кого-то другого?

Jesus replied, “Go back and report to John what you hear and see:

Иса им ответил:

– Пойдите и расскажите Яхии о том, что вы слышите и видите:

The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy^[b] are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.

слепые прозревают, хромые ходят, прокажённые очищаются, глухие слышат, мёртвые воскресают, и бедным возвещается Радостная Весть.^[b]

Blessed is anyone who does not stumble on account of me.”

Благословен тот, кто не усомнится во Мне.

Свидетельство Исы Масиха о пророке Яхии

As John’s disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed swayed by the wind?

Когда ученики Яхии ушли, Иса начал говорить народу об Яхии:

– Что вы ходили смотреть в пустыню? Тростник, колеблемый ветром?^[c]

If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings’ palaces.

Тогда что же вы ходили смотреть? Человека, одетого в роскошные одежды? Нет, те, кто одевается в роскошные одежды, находятся в царских дворцах.

Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and more than a prophet.

Тогда что же вы ходили смотреть? Пророка? Да, и говорю вам, что больше, чем пророка.

This is the one about whom it is written:

Он тот, о ком написано:

Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Говорю вам истину: среди всех, кто когда-либо был рождён на земле, ещё не было человека более великого, чем пророк Яхия, но наименьший в Царстве Всевышнего – больше его.^[e]

From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence,^[d] and violent people have been raiding it.

Со времени появления пророка Яхии и доныне Царство Всевышнего стремительно продвигается вперёд, и прилагающие усилие имеют доступ в него.^[f]

For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.

Ведь ещё до Яхии в Книге Пророков и в Таурате были записаны пророчества о Царстве,

And if you are willing to accept it, he is the Elijah who was to come.

и если вы готовы это принять, то он – Ильяс^[g], который должен прийти^[h].

Whoever has ears, let them hear.

У кого есть уши, пусть слышит!

“To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others:

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’

Смотрите, вот пришёл Яхия, не ест и не пьёт, и они говорят: «В нём демон».

The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.”

Woe on Unrepentant Towns

Пришёл Ниспосланный как Человек, ест и пьёт, и они говорят: «Вот обжора и пьяница, друг сборщиков налогов и грешников». Но мудрость Всевышнего видна в её делах.^[i]

Горе нераскаявшимся городам

Then Jesus began to denounce the towns in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.

Затем Иса начал укорять города, в которых Он совершил больше всего чудес, но которые так и не раскаялись.

“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

– Горе тебе, Хоразин! Горе тебе, Вифсаида! Ведь если бы в Тире и Сидоне были совершены те же чудеса, что в вас, то они бы давно раскаялись, одевшись в рубище и посыпав себя пеплом.

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.

Но, говорю вам: в Судный день Тиру и Сидону будет легче, чем вам.

And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted to the heavens? No, you will go down to Hades.^[e] For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.

И ты, Капернаум, думаешь, что будешь вознесён до небес? Нет, ты будешь сброшен в ад^[j],^[k] потому что если бы в Содоме были совершены такие чудеса, какие были совершены в тебе, то он существовал бы и до сего дня.

But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”

The Father Revealed in the Son

Но говорю вам, что в Судный день Содому будет легче, чем тебе.

Покой обременённым

At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.

Иса продолжал:

– Я славлю Тебя, Отец, Владыка неба и земли, за то, что Ты, утаив от мудрецов и учёных, открыл это младенцам.

Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.

Да, Отец, это было угодно Тебе!

“All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

Отец вверил Мне всё. Никто не знает Сына, кроме Отца, и никто не знает Отца, кроме Сына и того, кого Сын избирает, чтобы открыть ему Отца.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Придите ко Мне, все уставшие и обременённые, и Я успокою вас.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Возьмите ярмо Моих повелений на себя и научитесь у Меня, потому что Я кроток и мягок сердцем, и вы найдёте покой вашим душам.^[l]

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Ведь Моё ярмо не тяжело, и Моя ноша легка.
