Ezekiel 11

Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the gate of the house of the Lord that faces east. There at the entrance of the gate were twenty-five men, and I saw among them Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.

Дух поднял меня и перенёс к тем воротам дома Вечного, что смотрят на восток. Там, у входа в ворота, стояло двадцать пять человек, и среди них я увидел Иазанию, сына Аззура, и Пелатию, сына Бенаи, вождей народа.

The Lord said to me, “Son of man, these are the men who are plotting evil and giving wicked advice in this city.

Вечный сказал мне:

– Смертный, вот люди, которые замышляют зло и дают в этом городе злые советы.

They say, ‘Haven’t our houses been recently rebuilt? This city is a pot, and we are the meat in it.’

Они говорят: «Разве не скоро наступит время, благоприятное для строительства домов?^[a] Этот город – котёл, а мы – мясо, хранящееся в нём».

Therefore prophesy against them; prophesy, son of man.”

Поэтому пророчествуй против них; пророчествуй, смертный.

Then the Spirit of the Lord came on me, and he told me to say: “This is what the Lord says: That is what you are saying, you leaders in Israel, but I know what is going through your mind.

Дух Вечного сошёл на меня и сказал мне:

– Скажи: Так говорит Вечный: «Вот о чём вы думаете, народ Исраила. Я знаю то, что приходит вам на ум.

You have killed many people in this city and filled its streets with the dead.

Вы многих убили в этом городе и завалили его улицы трупами».

“Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: The bodies you have thrown there are the meat and this city is the pot, but I will drive you out of it.

Поэтому так говорит Владыка Вечный: «Да, этот город – котёл, но мясо – это ваши убитые, которых вы положили в нём. Вас же Я изгоню из него.

You fear the sword, and the sword is what I will bring against you, declares the Sovereign Lord.

Вы страшитесь меча, и Я нашлю на вас меч, – возвещает Владыка Вечный. –

I will drive you out of the city and deliver you into the hands of foreigners and inflict punishment on you.

Я изгоню вас из города, отдам во власть чужеземцев и исполню над вами приговор.

You will fall by the sword, and I will execute judgment on you at the borders of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

Вы падёте от меча; Я буду судить вас на границе Исраила^[b]. Тогда вы узнаете, что Я – Вечный.

This city will not be a pot for you, nor will you be the meat in it; I will execute judgment on you at the borders of Israel.

Этот город не будет для вас котлом, а вы не будете в нём мясом; Я буду судить вас на границе Исраила.

And you will know that I am the Lord, for you have not followed my decrees or kept my laws but have conformed to the standards of the nations around you.”

Тогда вы узнаете, что Я – Вечный, потому что вы не соблюдали Моих установлений и не исполняли законов, но поступали по обычаям народов, которые вокруг вас».

Now as I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. Then I fell facedown and cried out in a loud voice, “Alas, Sovereign Lord! Will you completely destroy the remnant of Israel?”

The Promise of Israel’s Return

Пока я пророчествовал, Пелатия, сын Бенаи, умер. Тогда я пал лицом на землю и громко закричал:

– О Владыка Вечный! Неужели Ты до конца погубишь всех оставшихся в живых в Исраиле?

Утешение пленникам

The word of the Lord came to me:

Было ко мне слово Вечного:

“Son of man, the people of Jerusalem have said of your fellow exiles and all the other Israelites, ‘They are far away from the Lord; this land was given to us as our possession.’

– Смертный, твои сородичи, твоя родня, те, кто разделил с тобой плен,^[c] и весь народ Исраила – это те, о ком жители Иерусалима говорят: «Они далеко от Вечного; теперь эта земля принадлежит только нам».

“Therefore say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Although I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’

– Поэтому скажи: Так говорит Владыка Вечный: «Хотя Я и изгнал их к другим народам и рассеял по странам, Я Сам, на время их изгнания, буду их святилищем в тех странах, куда они ушли».

“Therefore say: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will gather you from the nations and bring you back from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you back the land of Israel again.’

Поэтому скажи: Так говорит Владыка Вечный: «Я соберу вас из народов и верну из стран, в которых вы были рассеяны, и опять отдам вам землю Исраила.

“They will return to it and remove all its vile images and detestable idols.

Когда вы вернётесь туда, вы очистите её от гнусных истуканов и омерзительных идолов.

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

Я дам вам единое сердце и вложу в вас новый дух; Я возьму у вас упрямое сердце и дам вам сердце чуткое.

Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

Тогда вы будете соблюдать Мои установления, хранить Мои законы и исполнять их. Вы будете Моим народом, а Я буду вашим Богом.

But as for those whose hearts are devoted to their vile images and detestable idols, I will bring down on their own heads what they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

Но на головы тех, чьи сердца обращены к их гнусным истуканам и омерзительным идолам, Я обрушу то, что они заслужили», – возвещает Владыка Вечный.

Слава Вечного покидает Иерусалим

Then the cherubim, with the wheels beside them, spread their wings, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.

И херувимы, с колёсами возле них, расправили крылья, и слава Бога Исраила была над ними.

The glory of the Lord went up from within the city and stopped above the mountain east of it.

Слава Вечного поднялась из города и остановилась над горой к востоку от него.

The Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the exiles in Babylonia^[a] in the vision given by the Spirit of God.

Then the vision I had seen went up from me,

Дух поднял меня и перенёс к пленникам в Вавилон в видении, которое было дано Духом Всевышнего.

Потом видение, которое я видел, покинуло меня,

and I told the exiles everything the Lord had shown me.

и я рассказал пленникам обо всём, что показал мне Вечный.
