“I said ‘So I must arise now and go out into the city;Into the streets and into the squares [places I do not know]I must seek him whom my soul loves.’I sought him but I did not find him.

I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.

I will get up and go around in the city. I’ll look through all of its streets.I’ll search for the one my heart loves. So I looked for him but didn’t find him.

So I said to myself, “I will get up and roam the city, searching in all its streets and squares.I will search for the one I love.” So I searched everywhere but did not find him.

سَأَنْهَضُ الآنَ أَطُوفُ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ وَأَتَجَوَّلُ فِي شَوَارِعِهَا وَسَاحَاتِهَا، أَلْتَمِسُ مَنْ تُحِبُّهُ نَفْسِي. وَهَكَذَا رُحْتُ أَلْتَمِسُهُ فَمَا وَجَدْتُهُ.

Så besluttede jeg at gå ud i byen og lede efter ham på gader og stræder, men jeg kunne ikke finde ham.

»Ich will aufstehn, die Stadt durchstreifen,durch die Gassen und über die Plätze laufen.Meinen Liebsten muss ich finden!«Ich suchte nach ihm, doch vergebens.

Gani nagbangon ako kag ginlibot ko ang siyudad, ang mga dalan, kag mga plasa. Ginpangita ko ang akon hinigugma pero wala ko siya makita.

通りへ出て夢中で捜しましたが、どこにもいないのです。

내가 일어나 거리와 광장으로 나가서 사랑하는 님을 찾았으나 만나지 못하였다.

Ik wilde opstaan en in de stad naar hem zoeken. In mijn droom zocht ik mijn liefste op de straten en pleinen, maar vond hem niet.

Vou levantar-me agora e percorrer a cidade,irei por suas ruas e praças; buscarei aquele a quem o meu coração ama. Eu o procurei, mas não o encontrei.

Levantei-me, saí para as ruas da cidade, pelas praças,a ver se o achava, mas em vão.

Însă acum mă voi ridica şi voi străbate cetatea, voi merge pe străzile şi în pieţele ei;îl voi căuta pe iubitul inimii mele! L-am căutat, dar nu l-am găsit.

”Nu stiger jag upp och går omkring i staden, på gatorna och torgen. Jag vill söka efter min älskade.” Jag sökte honom, men jag hittade honom inte.

ดิฉันจะลุกขึ้นเดี๋ยวนี้ และไปทั่วเมืองไปตามถนนและลานเมืองดิฉันจะค้นหาพ่อยอดดวงใจของดิฉันแต่หาแล้วก็ไม่พบ

我要起来寻遍城里的大街小巷，我要寻找我心爱的人。我寻找他，却寻不到。

我 说 ： 我 要 起 来 ， 游 行 城 中 ， 在 街 市 上 ， 在 宽 阔 处 ， 寻 找 我 心 所 爱 的 。 我 寻 找 他 ， 却 寻 不 见 。
