Psalm 129:1

“Many times they have persecuted me (Israel) from my youth,”Let Israel now say,

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

1-4 “They’ve kicked me around ever since I was young” —this is how Israel tells it—“They’ve kicked me around ever since I was young, but they never could keep me down.Their plowmen plowed long furrows up and down my back;Then God ripped the harnesses of the evil plowmen to shreds.” 5-8 Oh, let all those who hate Zion grovel in humiliation;Let them be like grass in shallow ground that withers before the harvest,Before the farmhands can gather it in, the harvesters get in the crop,Before the neighbors have a chance to call out, “Congratulations on your wonderful crop! We bless you in God’s name!”

“[a]Many times they have [b]persecuted me from my youth up,”Let Israel now say,

Here is what Israel should say. “My enemies have treated me badly ever since I was a young nation.

“They have greatly oppressed me from my youth,” let Israel say;

‘They have greatly oppressed me from my youth,’ let Israel say;

From my earliest youth my enemies have persecuted me. Let all Israel repeat this:

مَا أَكْثَرَ مَا ضَايَقُونِي فِي حَدَاثَتِي يَقُولُ إِسْرَائِيلُ.

En valfartssang.Fra min tidlige ungdom har mine fjender mishandlet mig —lad hele Israel gentage det:

Ein Lied für Festbesucher, die nach Jerusalem hinaufziehen.Das soll Israel bekennen: Solange wir zurückdenken können, wurden wir ständig unterdrückt.

Mga taga-Israel, ihambal ninyo kon daw ano ang pagpaantos sa inyo sang inyo mga kaaway halin sang pagsugod sang inyo nga nasyon.

イスラエルは言う。「私は若いころから迫害され、

이스라엘이 말한다.“내가 어렸을 때부터내 원수들이 나를몹시 괴롭게 하였다.

Een bedevaartslied.Laat Israël het volgende zeggen:sinds de tijd dat ons volk ontstond,zijn wij onderdrukt.

Muitas vezes me oprimiram desde a minha juventude;que Israel o repita:

Isto é o que Israel poderá dizer:“Muitas vezes fui perseguido,já desde a minha juventude!

„Mult m-au mai duşmănit încă din tinereţea mea“ – să spună acum Israel lucrul acesta!
