Psalm 127:1

Unless the Lord builds the house,They labor in vain who build it;Unless the Lord guards the city,The watchman keeps awake in vain.

Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

1-2 If God doesn’t build the house, the builders only build shacks.If God doesn’t guard the city, the night watchman might as well nap.It’s useless to rise early and go to bed late, and work your worried fingers to the bone.Don’t you know he enjoys giving rest to those he loves? 3-5 Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift? the fruit of the womb his generous legacy?Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth.Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children!Your enemies don’t stand a chance against you; you’ll sweep them right off your doorstep.

If the Lord doesn’t build a house, the work of the builders is useless.If the Lord doesn’t watch over a city, it’s useless for those on guard duty to stand watch over it.

إِنْ لَمْ يَبْنِ الرَّبُّ الْبَيْتَ، فَبَاطِلاً يَتْعَبُ الْبَنَّاؤُونَ. وَإِنْ لَمْ يَحْرُسِ الرَّبُّ الْمَدِينَةَ فَبَاطِلاً يَسْهَرُ الْحَارِسُ.

主が建てたものでなければ、家を建ててもむだです。主に町を守っていただかないのなら、見張りが立つ意味もありません。

여호와께서집을 세우지 않으시면건축자들의 수고가 헛되고여호와께서성을 지키지 않으시면파수병이 보초를 서도 헛일이다.

Een bedevaartslied van Salomo.Als de Here de bouw van een huis niet zegent,is alle moeite nutteloos.Ook staat de wachter voor niets op wacht,als niet de Here de werkelijke bescherming over de stad geeft.

Se não for o Senhor o construtor da casa, será inútil trabalhar na construção.Se não é o Senhor que vigia a cidade, será inútil a sentinela montar guarda.

Se não for o Senhor a construir a casa,será inútil o trabalho dos operários.Se não for o Senhor a guardar a cidade,não adiantará nada a vigília das sentinelas.

Dacă nu zideşte Domnul o casă, degeaba trudesc cei ce o zidesc.Dacă nu străjuieşte Domnul o cetate, degeaba păzeşte străjerul.

En vallfartssång. Av Salomo. Om inte Herren bygger huset, är byggnadsarbetarnas möda till ingen nytta. Om inte Herren vakar över staden, står vaktposten förgäves på sin plats.

หากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าไม่ได้ทรงสร้างบ้านผู้สร้างลงแรงไปก็เหนื่อยเปล่าหากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าไม่ได้ทรงพิทักษ์รักษานครคนยามยืนเฝ้าอยู่ก็เหนื่อยเปล่า

若不是耶和华建造房屋，建造者的工作都是徒劳。若不是耶和华保护城池，守城者保持警觉也是徒然。

（ 所 罗 门 上 行 之 诗 。 ） 若 不 是 耶 和 华 建 造 房 屋 ， 建 造 的 人 就 枉 然 劳 力 ； 若 不 是 耶 和 华 看 守 城 池 ， 看 守 的 人 就 枉 然 警 醒 。
