Psalm 123:1

Unto you I lift up my eyes,O You who are enthroned in the heavens!

Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.

1-4 I look to you, heaven-dwelling God, look up to you for help.Like servants, alert to their master’s commands, like a maiden attending her lady,We’re watching and waiting, holding our breath, awaiting your word of mercy.Mercy, God, mercy! We’ve been kicked around long enough,Kicked in the teeth by complacent rich men, kicked when we’re down by arrogant brutes.

To You I lift up my eyes,O You who are enthroned in the heavens!

I look up and pray to you. Your throne is in heaven.

I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven.

إِلَيْكَ رَفَعْتُ عَيْنَيَّ يَا سَاكِناً فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ.
