Numbers 14:36

As for the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, and who returned and made all the congregation murmur and complain against him by bringing back a bad report concerning the land,

So the Lord struck down the men Moses had sent to check out the land. They had returned and had spread a bad report about the land. And that had made the whole community speak out against Moses.

أَمَّا الْجَوَاسِيسُ الَّذِينَ أَرْسَلَهُمْ مُوسَى لاِسْتِكْشَافِ الأَرْضِ، فَرَجَعُوا فَأَثَارُوا عَلَيْهِ الشَّعْبَ بِمَا رَوَّجُوهُ مِنْ أَخْبَارٍ سَيِّئَةٍ عَنِ الأَرْضِ،
