Nehemiah 9:26

“Yet they were disobedient and rebelled against You,And cast Your law behind their backsAnd killed Your prophets who warned themTo return to You;And they committed great [and contemptible] blasphemies.

Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.

“But they were disobedient and rebelled against you; they turned their backs on your law. They killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you; they committed awful blasphemies.

وَمَعَ ذَلِكَ ثَارُوا عَلَيْكَ وَتَمَرَّدُوا وَطَرَحُوا شَرِيعَتَكَ خَلْفَ ظُهُورِهِمْ، وَقَتَلُوا أَنْبِيَاءَكَ الَّذِينَ حَذَّرُوهُمْ وَأَنْذَرُوهُمْ لِيَرْتَدُّوا إِلَيْكَ، وَارْتَكَبُوا الشُّرُورَ الْفَوَاحِشَ.

Men de gjorde oprør imod dig, var ulydige og tilsidesatte din lov.De myrdede dine profeter, som formanede dem til omvendelse. De hånede dig op i dit åbne ansigt.

Doch trotz allem kehrten sie dir den Rücken und lehnten sich gegen dich auf: Von deinen Geboten wollten sie nichts mehr wissen; sie brachten deine Propheten um, die sie eindringlich ermahnt hatten, wieder zu dir zurückzukehren. Damit haben sie dich selbst beleidigt.

ところが、これほどまでにしていただきながら、人々は不従順になり、あなたに反逆したのです。律法を放り出し、神に立ち返るよう語った預言者を殺すなど、数々の恐るべきことを行いました。
