Matthew 3:15

But Jesus replied to him, “Permit it just now; for this is the fitting way for us [k]to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John permitted [it and baptized] Him.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

But Jesus insisted. “Do it. God’s work, putting things right all these centuries, is coming together right now in this baptism.” So John did it. 16-17 The moment Jesus came up out of the baptismal waters, the skies opened up and he saw God’s Spirit—it looked like a dove—descending and landing on him. And along with the Spirit, a voice: “This is my Son, chosen and marked by my love, delight of my life.”

But Jesus answering said to him, “Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he *permitted Him.

But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.[f]” So John agreed to baptize him.

وَلكِنَّ يَسُوعَ أَجَابَهُ: «اسْمَحِ الآنَ بِذلِكَ! فَهكَذَا يَلِيقُ بِنَا أَنْ نُتِمَّ كُلَّ صَلاحٍ». عِنْدَئِذٍ سَمَحَ لَهُ.

No Ježiš mu odpovedal: Prosím ťa, len ma pokrsť, lebo musíme vykonať všetko, čo Boh žiada." A tak ho Ján pokrstil.

Men Jesus svarade: ”Gör det ändå, för vi behöver uppfylla all rättfärdighet.” Då döpte Johannes honom.

พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า “ขณะนี้ให้เป็นไปตามนั้นเถิด สมควรแล้วที่พวกเราจะทำเช่นนี้เพื่อให้ความชอบธรรมทุกประการสำเร็จครบถ้วน” แล้วยอห์นจึงยอมทำตาม

耶稣回答说：“你就这样做吧！我们理当这样遵行上帝一切的要求。”于是约翰答应了。
